The trick to getting through New Hope is to park in Lambertville and do it on foot. Having lived in Lambertville all my life all I can say is, the traffic sucks no matter what day it is. If you want to go through town you can go down main street, or you can come up some of the back roads and roll down bridge street, over the bridge and into Lambertville, NJ, 20 something Mini's backed up the hill at the light would be quite a sight.

Ok everyone!!!

I just sent the map of the starting point to Kim and the address.
<We are kind of working on this as a group with Laugh Scott>
We will be starting out in Yardley, PA just of of I95 <Exit 49> at the White Rose Cafe.

Kim will post starting time and other details very soon I just wanted you to have an idea about where you are going. Please check the first posting in this thread for Kims full details about when and the address and other important details in the next few days.

Looking forward to meeting everyone on the 3rd.

Craig

But the flow is SO good in the rectangular pic! Off angle draws my eye, squiggly line for the road draws my attention, great colors!

Good shot Kim! I'd take Julie up on the wink and get her to design it in a rectangular layout. (I can't believe I just said I'd take a woman, who I have never met, up on her wink...)

Whew!! I've been busy for the past 5 days taking a class and I wasn't able to get online much. Good to see that we're still gathering more MINIs. At last count, we had about 30 MINIs that are coming.

Thanks for all the suggestions about my signature. I too like the rectangular format of my older sig., but couldn't bring myself to post a smaller version of Scott's picture. Any smaller and the effect is gone. I'll keep it like this for awhile.

Glad to have the newbie-weds on board, as well as smidget, alexp, and jaysnyder.

***************************

I promise that by tonight I will post the map and directions on page 1 of this thread. Craig sent me the map, I just have to resize it, upload it and mapquest out some directions. Stay tuned.

I love that new picture. The shape is not as good, but I think the quality of the shot compensates for it...

Finally got my production number from Mainline MINI and got into the Owner's Lounge this week. Saw a shot of your car along with LaughScott's. Looks like you two were having a good time planning this ride. Mentioned it to my wife; she said it sounds like a blast--but I think it would be too painful w/o a car. Have a great time.

David,

Why not just come and join us for breakfast at the White Rose, follow the route for a bridge or two and then go your merry way......

A good MINI fix while you're awaiting delivery always helps

Harmini (Kim) is right, you should come out and join us. I'll be there without a Mini, it doesn't mean you can't come. I've been to a few events without a Mini. The day I actually come to an event with a Mini will really be something.

At least come out and say hello. You can tell us about the Mini you just ordered!

Is the White Rose located in the lower Makefield Corp Center? That's right down the street from my house. I'll definitely be there at 9:30. My Wife and I will probably bring our JRt along for the ride. He just loves riding in the MINI. See you then.

PS any way to get a teaser of the route? I'd like to maybe prerun it this weekend. I love driving the MINI!

Fred, PLEASE bring your JRt, my friend and her Boston Terrier, Louie, won't be able to make it to this meet. We need a MINI mascot.

For a sample of the route, go to the
Bucks County Recreation page and click on both Covered Bridge Tours and Great Bike Tours.

Our route is different, but some of the roads and bridges are the same.
Let us know how it goes.

Cheers,
Kim

Great, Thanks!
Maxwell will probably have his head out the window most of the time soaking up the breeze. He is VERY friendly. He will gladly lick everyone there at least three times.

Hmmm... according to Mapquest, the White Rose is 2.68 miles from where I live. I think I can make that!

Fred, you and I are probably neighbors and don't even know it! I'm in the Stonefield apartments.

Jason,

I deliver the Philadelphia Inquirer there and make sure the area is secure for your S every morning! So weird that you are on here too! I wondered... I also look out for the MINIs in building 11000 <Silver> and 18000 <Silver?>

He he he.... small world!

I'm not sure if those other MINIs are on MCO or not [hello! are you there?!?], so I'm thinking about putting some cards on their windshield to let them know about this little event...

I'm in Newtown Grant. I've got an Indi blue/White MCS. There is a DS/B MCS around the corner from me. Maybe i'll see if they would like to join us as well.

Oh, The White Rose is in the corporate center. Right next to the Hampton Inn and Suites. If anybody is coming from out of town, maybe they could book a room there.

Thanks Fred. I just checked online and it looks like the Hampton Inn may be a little expensive ($159).

There are not many hotels in Bucks County. The Bucks County Bed & Breakfast page has 51 B&Bs listed.

Yeah, I guess that is a little steep. I did not know what the prices were, just that it was close.
