{B]I'm coming from 100 miles west - is there a "petrol fueling station" nearby???
[/B]
Yes, there is a Mobil station about 3 miles away from the cafe. I would tell you to check mapquest, but I just looked and their directions are 10x more complicated then it needs to be. Here are *my" directions from the white rose:

Exit the plaza and turn LEFT (south) onto Stony Hill Rd.
Go Straight at the first stoplight. You will now be on Township Line Rd.
Continue going straight until you cross the Railroad tracks. You will now be on Big Oak Road.
The next stop light should be the intersection of Big Oak and Oxford Valley Rd.
Turn RIGHT on Oxford Valley. The Mobil station is on your immediate right.

When you are done fueling, be sure to take the BACK EXIT of the gas station. This will take you back to Big Oak Rd, at which point, you turn left on Big Oak and head back to the Cafe.

It's really simple. Even though the name of the road you are on changes a few times, it's really just a straight line. The only intersection you have to turn at is the one at Oxford Vally. Hope this makes sense!

To Our Dog-Loving Motorists!!!

I just called Triumph Brewery. They do have outdoor seating, and they have no problem if your dog is leashed by your side while eating, however....

The outdoor seating is limited, so our entire group cannot fit in the space. Also, they do not have umbrellas, so weather permitting, this is not a problem.

I'm sure some of us non-dog-owning, but dog-loving people will want to come out and join you for some fun with our Bucks County Mascot, Maxwell!!!

Cheers.

Scott

To Our Long-Distance Travelers,

Another option, which I will post to the crew...

If there is a concern of getting lost trying to find a gas station nearby, I will offer the following suggestion:

Arrive at the Cafe early (by 10:00AM) and I will escort ANY Motorists that need fuel to a local gas station in Newtown, PA (owned by a friend of my family) and escort you back in time for HARMINI's Rules of Engagement speech!!!

Either way, fill-up on the way, or fill-up once you get there, but we HAVE to be back at the Cafe by 10:30AM, and we have to leave with a full tank.

You won't be able to miss my LY/LY MCS!!!!

Cheers.

Scott

LOCAL MINI DEALER TO SPONSOR COVERED BRIDGE TOUR

Otto's MINI of West Chester, PA is proud to sponsor the 2003 Bucks County

enthusiastic group of MINI owners." stated Gerry Walsh, motorsports director
for Otto's. "We love these cars as much as our customers do, I can't wait to get out and mix it up with them on the backroads!" Walsh added.

Tis true!! I spoke with Joe and Gerry today. All I can say is that our area NEEDS a dealership like Otto's. These guys are cool

Sorry, Scott, I didn't give credit where it is due on the choice for dinner.

My wife (who's name also is Kim) & I both thank HarMINI, Scott, and everyone else who are making this get-together a reality. This will be a great way to start out our MINI ownership!!!

We're looking forward to meeting you all!!

The other one that deserves a HUGE thanks is Craig (Pocket_Rocket). He's the one to thank for a perfect route, having done over 5 dry-runs, and has found THE best roads for MINIs. Craig is also printing out copies of the route for everyone. He doesn't have his MINI yet, but he's worked harder than any of us in putting this together.

Oh Goodness,

We are going to have a ZOO on Sunday!!

Mascots galore, let's see, we have the following:

Maxwell
Baby Bear
Indie
Sammie

Who else is bringing their Mascots along for the ride????

We'll have to have an award for the best dressed Mascot, HARMINI?

Well, it looks like there will be a few people at least, dining al fresco on Sunday!!!

Don't forget to bring your dog bowls!!

You are too nice Kim! It truly has been a team effort if anything.
We have all added valuable items and without a collaboration this just would not be working. I can tell we have made the right decision with the MINI. Great car great folks! Sunday can't come quick enough.

Count us in! After emailing Harmini I decided to go out today and spring for some radios. I'll be there with my 10 year old (Isaac) in my 99 Saturn SL2.

The radios will be indispensable because there's no way I'll keep up with all the MINIs. But that's ok, because it won't be too much longer, I'm simply WAITING FOR SEPTEMBER!

We will probably not last until dinner. But there's no way we'll miss the ice cream. Thanks for all your hard work; I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

David (coming from Harrisburg)
DS/Bl MCS currently in production

Yay!!! David (Deli) and Isaac are coming!!!!

Don't worry about keeping up. This is not a road race. This is the kind of driving where you'll be able to look around and enjoy the scenery. In order to keep us all together, we'll be going at a pace that all of the cars can follow. We might zoom through a few twisties here and there, but the Saturn will do fine.

I'm also excited about all of the dogs coming. I can't believe Scott found a restaurant that'll allows them. Way to go!!!

Hey hey hey wait wait count me/us in!!!!

I was part of the Fall Tour last year, with my 2-week-old non-broken-in MINI and horribly bad clutch manipulation. I was simply waiting for the fall for mention of this run to start up again. I don't check MCO as much as I should... Julie mentioned this Sunday's event and my girlfriend and I are go!

Please add a PA darksilver/black MCS to the count!

I'm getting psyched-up for Sunday! I can attest that Triumph Brew Pub [http://www.triumphbrew.com] is awesome. We used to go to the one in Princeton all the time. Can't wait to see what they did with their new New Hope location. I just hope I make it to 5PM dinner. My co-pilot has a hockey game @7

Good Morning Julie,

I think you should get the guys together, take a look at the route picked out,and chop and hour out or so out of it.

Events like this never start ontime. They never, ever end on time. You don't want to be schleping around all day,and finally get back to the reataurant and find out you don't have time to digest your food.

Your going to have to be a **** about it. Get everyone to the restaurant at 4:00. No one will be in a rush to leave. People will be able to eat, mingle, and kibbitz(talk). Espically people who have to drive back a long way will have time to eat.

The people coming will be happier, the pets will be happier, and the Mini's will be happier.

The run is long enough in time that no one will miss an hour,or so.

Steven

I remember you.. <grin> I remember at that building we all stopped at while the Fiat 500 changed his tire you were having trouble with "clutch manipulation"

Hey we all had to go through it! Glad to see you stuck with it and will be joining!

Thanks for the suggestion... I have suggested only stopping for ONE bridge for a get out and stretch and take picture session rather than two. That will cut out a half hour right there. I do not think any of us thought this thing would get this big! We are considering alternatives now that will not affect overall enjoyment.

As Pocket_Rocket said, we are doing what we can to make the ride efficient. I will TRY and get us started on time. Here's some good advice that P_R sent me in an email:

"We are going to have to stress to people that it is strongly suggested that folks follow the instructions if at all possible because with this many cars, pulling over is not going to be a viable option on certain roads.

You may know this but I would preach to people that if you can not see the car behind you to slow up and wait. If EVERYONE can adhere to this then there should be no separation of the group. <Areas of concern are any time we turn on or off river road.>
Someone needs to stay at the bottom of the turn onto a new road until they know the next car is aware of where the group is going if there is a gap."

P.S. we're up to 54 cars!!! I forgot to add in GMINI0 and Eric @ Helix when I did my tally. Sorry guys.

Events like this end up having a life of thier own. By run time Sunday you could easily be over 60 cars as word of mouth gets around. I was talking to two people yesterday that both have Cooper S's, one had no idea anything was even going on, and the other didn't know their plans for Sunday yet. That could mean two more cars.

As for affecting the overall enjoyment,I don't think you have to worry about that. Just being out there with of Mini motorist is usually enough!!

How's the weather looking for Sunday?

Steven

P.S. For anyone who doesn't have a FRS radio, I'm also going to be carrying a CB radio as well. I'm trying to cover all the bases.

Hey, uhhh, I resemble that remark

Ohhh, Harmini, et al ... THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL THE HARD WORK YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN PUTTING IN ON THIS! The Newbie-weds are really excited about our upcoming first Mini gathering... we'll be making a weekend out of it, hopefully starting in Harrisburg taking my little bro (Jay) and his wife (Kim) to pick up their new Mini if it is "released" I think he told me the other day that it was at the dealer finally, but maybe I just dreamed that, I dunno.

Anyway, we'll be cooperative and chillin' so however it goes, sounds great ...
