Let's hope the kid wants to come along. Tell her we're pretty cool, as far as grown-ups go.
Thanks, and will make the pitch to her. Not very hopeful however, as I am just about the most irrelevant, outdated, pre-historic :???: person as far as she is concerned.

>>Bucks County has done a splendid job of providing maps and routes online for some of the covered bridges. They have directions for a 32 mile/5 bridge route. I will be doing a dry run, perhaps this weekend. If this proves to be MINI friendly, then the meeting place will likely be Tinicum Park on River Rd in Erwinna. There is also a .pdf map of Bucks County to give you a larger sense of where the bridges are.

Kim, If at all possible, I would recommend working out the route so that you can do lunch at The Ship Inn, which is just accross the river in Milford, NJ. If you're not familiar with it, it is a british pub (run by some ex-pats, I believe) and is also the first brewpub in NJ. Good british food goes well with the british cars!

I couldn't imagine a more appropriate spot for lunch!

koolmini, your sister's welcome to bring the VW, her motorcycle, or any other vehicle or person she wants to bring. I'm not making any rules about who can come or what they should drive. It's a MINI renegade thing afterall......

L.Mini??? For real? That would be so awesome if you and TJ could make it!! Got my fingers crossed.

Hai_Le, your daughter is welcome to do the ride in my MINI if she wants to abandon you for part of the trip. I'm like that cool aunt that teenagers can relate to. But, after meeting me, you may not WANT your daughter to be in my car. hehehe

Jason, you're an angel!!! I was hoping someone would pipe up with the perfect restaurant spot. I'll be sure to go talk to the folks at The Ship Inn to see if they'd be willing to host us and our MINIs.

Greatbear, sorry you won't be able to join us. And this could have been the perfect opportunity for me to test out your hugability.

Oooh, this is gonna be great!!!

Cheers,
Kim

I will try to be there on 8/3 so we can have another Silk Green MC with the group. In fact, I will be in New Hope this weekend. You picked a great location as Bucks County is beautiful.

Getting to Bucks County page will give you a general idea of where it's at. I will post more specific directions next week.

Daniel, my long lost SG buddy!!! It would be great to have you along and since you'll be in New Hope already, at least get your butt out for part of the fun.

Newbie <With Drive Experience Here>

Ok finally we are putting our deposit down to order an 04 and we are ready ready ready but problem is... NO MINI yet.

BUT..... I have a BMW Z3 and have put together these drives before through Bucks and also atteneded last years fall drive mentioned by Mr Beck.

I really wish we could attend but no Cooper YET...& I understand a MINI run is a MINI run! I have a couple of nice routes if you want some help anyhow. May as well come introduce myself at the meeting spot. I am putting together a drive for my other car club and have ran these bridges 3X in the past two weeks. SAT AND SUN of last week.

If you need help let me know!! I could run them in my sleep at this point!

Welcome to MCO Pocket_Rocket

Craig, you can ride with us in your Z3, you can hop into one of our MINIs, or you can just come by and say HI. This is a no-rules event, not organized by any official club, so it's open to anyone. Heck, since you can drive the route in your sleep, I would love if you were in the lead car, so I could just enjoy the ride and not be looking at my map and talking on the radio. I will email you also. Thanks much for your generous offer to assist.

Cheers,
Kim

I plan on being there with my little rally car...any possibility of driving off a bridge is worth it.

Deli, offer stands for you to come also. Bring whatever you're driving now, check out our MINIs, and hop into one of the lesser occupied vehicles to go for the ride. It's a great way to get even more jazzed up while you await delivery.

The latest update is that I will be meeting Rocket_Pocket on Sunday to do the run he's outlined for another event. Later than afternoon, I'll head up to Ship Inn and see if it will suit us as a final destination.

Also, I was contacted by Otto's MINI, the newest (sort of) MINI dealer in the area. They want to sponsor our meet by giving away some prizes and goodies.

Thanks to everyone who is helping to make this an EASY event to organize.

Cheers,
Kim
