Ok folks. I need a big scanner!

The coverage in the Philadelphia Inquirer was IMPRESSIVE!

I took pics with the digital camera since thats all I have. I will upload in a couple of hours. Meanwhile here is a link on Philly.com but there are NO pictures. There were 4 in the paper if you include the small one on the front page..

Our thanks as well to Craig, Scott, Kim and everyone else who made this such a great day. We had a blast!! Thanks for all your hard work. Great roads, and it was nice to put faces with all the names.
See you in Philly!

KUDOS!

I tried to say it personally yesterday, but in case I missed anyone:

A big, heartfelt thanks to everyone who made yesterday such a fun time, especially to those who did the work: Kim, Scott, Craig, and Jack.

A thanks to Ottos. I'm looking forward to becoming your customer again. I'll be in this next week or so to purchase a few sundry items.

And, lastly, a Mini wave to all the other enthusiastic enthusiasts we met yesterday. Jenn and I had a great time and look forward to seeing everyone again sometime soon.

Kev & Jenn

Thanks for the great meet guys! It was cool to meet a bunch of East Coast MINI folks. It was totally worth driving from Groton to Danbury long before the crack of dawn to hook up with the CT MINI connection for the drive down. I think yesterday was the longest I'd ever spent in a MINI in the PASSENGER seat! Quite a different view!

I took a load of pictures yesterday and I'll get them uploaded as soon as I get home next weekend. There's already a ton of pictures, but I'll add the "West Coast" perspective with mine.

Cheers to Harmini and the other organizers. Thanks for the prize for coming the longest distance to attend. I'll try to bring my MINI as soon as I get a suitcase that it will fit in. And Thanks to John for letting me hijack his passenger seat for the day!

Oregon Jim

Congratulations dandp!!! I raided the warehouse <I deliver the Phila Inq> and only came up with 4 copies so far but its the LOCAL section in the Bucks County Edition.. All 4 are reserved for the coordinators and one for Otto's

Let me know if you come up short and I will see what I can do!

NICE PICS BTW.... I LOVE THE TRAIN SHOT! I think we should do a run where we motor somewhere then do a train ride and then motor some more. I did this with my other group and it was a blast! I will look into it for the spring!

Craig, THANKS!!! They did a nice job of covering our little party. I can't wait to see the hard copy.

Dan, your car looks great!!! Good thing you got that body work done last week

And there is the picture of me, laughing when the photographer asked me if I was in the Marines. Bwaahhhaaahhhaa!!!! Tammie asked "what's the deal with you MINI owners and your weird hats?"

Pocket_Rocket...thanks for the compliment. I never really take tons of pics at the events, I do it for a living, and on the weekends I just want to drive my MINI...

Harmini, weird hats rule!
I am debating if I am insane enough to drive out to New Hope to get the paper after work. May check around here first. I also know someone at work who lives in Bucks County...

That picture almost looks like The Italian Job...

I think the article scan needs to be placed in MINI talk...so all MCO can see the exposure the MINI is getting. But since my car is the lead...don't want any "conflicts of interest" here

(did I miss anything, what was that truck???)
I think your referring to my friend Joe in his Citroen H Van, which up until quite recently was still seeing active duty in a french fire department. I liked the decal on the back of the truck that said something like (in french) "NEW SUSPENSION 1970".

He was motoring with Roland in his white Lancia Fulvia, which is an amazingly beautiful car.

And Craig... thanks for the copy of the paper that was on my MINI this morning!

>>^^^^ Acetonic, the winner of the MINI with the highest mileage award. 29K, right?
>>

Yes, highest mileage and "Best in Show MC" which was a nice suprise.
Maybe it just goes to show that the more you drive the MINI, the better it gets. That's been my experience so far. (begins packing for a 3000 mile trip this week)

Jason, your welcome!! Glad you got it. Sorry to put it where I did but did not know what else to do. That Citroen H was AWESOME! I was bummed that I was just leaving when I saw it. I hope I have a chance again!

See ya at the Dragon next year in MY MCS!

No problem at all!

Oh, and I think Joe initially wanted to turn that H van into a mobile crepe wagon! That would be an excellent rally support vehicle: rally, rally, rally, stop and eat some crepes, rally, rally, rally...
