To agree, I put the JCW Pro Coilovers on at 56k miles. They replaced sport springs and Bilstein B8 shocks, and I've no regrets.

The ride is smoother, bump compliance is good, available wheel travel is generous, and the car is quite competitive in STU judging by last year's results.

The Pit Crew (MoP) and I agonized a bit over optimum ride height and ultimately we lowered the car very little. Here is that story for your amusement, as well as all other tales.

You might want to back up in that other thread, and look at the story of the ECS camber plates also...

My current alignment is here - and that's a rather important part of the whole package...

And finally, the corner weighting is located here!

Cheers,

Charlie

Great Charlie! Thanks again, I guess the JCW is going in for a couple of things in two weeks. JCW Pro Exhaust, Quaife Diff w/Clutch, JCW Pro Suspension, Short Throw Shifter, and JCW Pro Steering Wheel and Black Door Handles installed. The outside is done, I’ll take pics and post. Had paint correction, PPF, tint, and ceramic coated.

Beautiful car! One thing that sticks out to me is that the wheels... aren't sticking out. If you're going to keep the stock wheels, consider wheel spacers and longer bolts.

The Pro suspension is highly regarded. People love it. I believe there is a NIB set in the classifieds right now. Two alternatives worth considering though- the KW Street Comfort and ST STX kit. KW makes the JCW Pro, and ST as well. The Street Comfort is adjustable for stiffness, while the Pro is not. I think they are the same basic concept, valved to take the edge off of bumps. The STX is also adjustable, but more aggressive. The car will follow every bump in the road, but will also stay super flat in corners. And it includes camber plates, so you can dial in a little front camber. If you want something OEM+, you can't go wrong with the Pro or Street Comfort though.

Thanks JL, I ordered all the suspension stuff and will install on 3/8. Looking forward to having it all done! Yes, I’m running OEM Wheels for both winter and summer wheels. For summer I’m running 18” with no spacers, straight up stock except I’m running 215 vs 205. Here’s the 18” summers I run, they are from my ‘15 JCW. Love the look, Jose

I'm currently looking up shops and prices to install Wavetrac and clutch too - can you please PM me the shop you used and how much they charged you, I'd appreciate it. And also, how long did it take them to install it all? Thanks.

Bimmer Clinic in South Amboy, NJ did all the Suspension/Motor/Exhaust work. Don’t ask for cost as I had a lot of work done and it was bundled all together. Clearly these guys did an amazing job and I highly recommend them 110%!!! The car feels absolutely different in every way, super happy to use it as my DD! Enjoy, Jose

OK, thanks, I'll look them up, they are only 45 minutes away from me.

You will be super happy you went to them. Ask for Bill or Corey, they are the owner/operators. Good Luck! Jose

When I did that plus the Quaife, the clutch was my favorite part. It's something you notice with every shift, not just powering out of a corner at the limit of traction.
A thorough study of this thread has convinced me that a Quaife LSD and a Helix Clutch from Lohen are in order. I'm curious though, they make the clutch in two varieties, organic and paddle. On some parts of their website they say the organic version is good for up to 252lb/ft of torque, where in others they say that if you go over 368 then you want the paddle version. I plan to tune my F56 JCW somewhat aggressively so I'm wondering what kind of torque your car produces and whether the organic version is enough. I'm not the most mechanical person when it comes to cars so I'm trying to learn a lot in a short amount of time. Thanks

Get the standard full-face disc. Pucks are pretty serious, and will make driving a real chore. Odd that there is a big gap in power levels between the specs, but I’m sure that’s a conservative figure on the full-face. If you’re planning to go stage 3 one day... you could email the Lohen team, they install a lot of them and I’m sure know exactly how much power they hold.

Ordered the standard organic clutch along with the Quaife LSD this morning.. That spec discrepancy was my mistake, one of the pages I was looking at was for Gen 2 MINI. Thanks for the assist.
