Countryman JCW 2020 & Bimmercode

hello

I am tearing my hair out trying to find someone, anyone who has successfully used Bimmercode to modify their JCW clubman/countryman 2020 to do the following:

In Mid Mode
----------------
*Activate sport steering
*Active sport throttle

The sport setting is doing my head in with the exhaust tone and rumble. Disabling Active Sound does nothing to get rid of the exhaust tone which is deafening. So I just want the sport steering feel and/or sport throttle but without the stupid deafening JCW exhaust tone

Does anyone know which setting i need to alter with bimmercode to get the sport steering present in all modes?

Don't think I have ever seen this done on any MINI of any generation.

you may not have heard of anyone doing it but it 100% is doable or should be. The taut steering and throttle response profiles are electrically controlled not mechnical. Infact, order a mini with adaptive dampers and you can do precisely this.

You have the option with the adaptive dampers menu system to independently control the chassis, transmission and steering between mid and sport modes. i.e. you can have the steering in sport mode while keeping the throttle in mid mode. Given that the adaptive dampers option does nothing other than add adjustable air-suspension, I would bet my left nut the rest of those modifications are embedded in software somewhere in expert mode. I just need someone who's found them. I mean, one of you must have come across a setting for the steering wheel??

Hopefully you won't have to change your forum name to One Nut. I agree that logically it should be easy to code, but it has been talked about previously with nobody offering up a solution. If you figure it out you will be our hero of the year 😉.

I think it must be one of these settings:

Front Electronic Module > 30C0 ElectricSteeringWheelAdjust
Headunit > HMI > Drive_Mode_Kombi
Integrated Chassis Management > 3000 Daten > Sportindividualisierbar (translation: sport options)
Integrated Chassis Management > 3000 Daten > Sportkelkung (translation: sport steering)

If you google "sport steering in comfort mode" there's a billion threads about it too and it seems it is doable on the BMW's so it must be doable on the Mini's.

If I had some sort of Engineer's service guidebook to the Mini's I could probably figure it out. Would just need to know what pieces of code the 'Configure Sport' menu system toggles (configure sport menu system only shows up with adaptive dampers installed on the car).

Anyone have or can get access to the Mini Engineer / Servicer manual? preferably from 2019 or 2018

I found the thread which explains how to do it on BMW's - same system. Now we need someone familiar with it to clarify how we adapt it to the Mini. Looks like I was right, the ICM menu option Sportindividualiserbar is the setting which activates sport steering in any mode. But there may be a step that needs to be done before. On the BMW forum they mention changing "Macro_FDS" first. No idea where that option is for the Mini's or if it is even required for it

Is the exhaust louder because the flap on the exhaust is open? If so, is there a way to keep it closed in sport mode by pulling a fuse? Then you would get the throttle control, stiffer suspension, and tighter steering in sport mode but not the open exhaust.

Yeah I think he's got something there. Or maybe just put a sock in it. Or a left nut.
