i am owner of a R56 cooper S.
When i am driving on sport button mode i feel that steering does not tighten.Throttle response is there but the feeling i got with the tighten steering i s not present.

They say it should tighten by about 20 percent. I believe that's what I read. I find it very hard to tell the difference to be honest. Mini's use an electronic steering system rather than a pump. One way to tell is to turn the wheel with the car at a dead stop. I find that it is easier to tell the difference when the car is not moving.

Did you check owners manual description of Sport Mode for your year/model. I don't believe that steering is tightened on all iterations of Sport Mode.

I can definitely feel the difference in my 2013 when “sport” is activated.
