Cooling function button (the button with the snowflake)

What does it do?

According to the 07 manual, it cools, dries and then reheats the air. So it's a de-humidifier?

If you turn it off, the fan will stay on and you'll get the air from outside.

It is my impression that with the Auto Air option this button turns off the air conditioner. So you get heat or fresh air to match the target temp, rather than heat or air conditioner. I often turn it off to save gas.

I believe most cars apply a little heat to the A/C depending on where the temperature control is set.
