Hey everyone,
wondering what the steering in the new cooper should feel like.
Mine feels light in green, normal in mid, and a bit heavier in sport.

The reason i ask is because my car was at the dealer this morning for a tire change, so i was lent a 2014 courtesy car, and the steering felt heavier, tighter if that makes sense. I didnt notice much difference from one mode to the other with the courtesy car just a tighter feel.

I just want to make sure everything is as it should be in my new car!!

Anyone?

 

The turning ratio doesn't change of course in the Sport mode. The sport mode adds resistance to turning the steering wheel, "tightens it up" so to speak. It also makes the throttle more responsive to a given amount of pressure on the accelerator pedal.
