JCW GarageInterested in John Cooper Works (JCW) parts for your 1st Generation MINI? This is where JCW upgrades and accessories for the Cooper (R50), Cabrio (R52), and Cooper S (R53) MINIs are discussed.
2 months ago I picked up a 2002 MCS with the JCW package.
Needed a clutch with 130k miles on the clock.
The weekend I bought the car I did a clutch, power steering fan and cleaned the entire car inside and out.
To this day I've done the following:
Painted the white roof
17% pulley, M7 strut bar, Koni Sports, H&R springs, 22mm rear sway, Grom Audio unit, Alta Intake, MSD coil, powerflex bushings (RLCA) with an Airtec intercooler on the way.... Its been such a great car!
Well done and nice rare find for a 2002 JCW tuning kit. Not too many had that even in 2002 at launch. Looks like someone painted the wheel arches and black trim on the aero kit also.
Wow Tony.....your car looks great! I almost went with Rota Grid's myself when I picked up my 04 JCW a few months back. Great looking wheel! Car looks super clean.
@Minilife - I believe they were a 215/40 - ill double check later today.
Thanks everyone! Just installed a sprintbooster - and I must say--- BEST "performance" mod I've ever done on any car I've ever owned. I know it doesnt give HP gain but the way the car responds after the install is completely nuts. If you dont have one, get one asap.... just saying.
Really loving that color and the painted trim. The color of the grids goes very nicely. Just be careful with killer pot holes. Had a never ending issue with one of my grids on a different vehicle a while back. Looks like it's overall in really good condition. Got anymore pictures?
