I think I saw somewhere that they were selling the 17"MINI rims for $2700.

If I could get someone to give me a reasonable price for these babies...I'd be there!

I thought the MINI race team was not using JCW brakes due to series rule requirements

Lap Motorsports : Stock cooper S brakes and some prototype hawk pads at some point. Thinks its because of class or something.

Its on there FB somewhere. We carry the Wavetrac Diff they run. 56309191WK

You can see what they look like on the website and here on the race car:

www.minijcwteam.com

A group buy might get the price to under $3,000 for a set.
Spoke to Alan at Fikse. He told me that there would likely be some scrub radius with these wheels. He was saying no more than running 12 or 15mm spacers. They will certainly make the car look more aggressive! That's why I thought the wheels had spacers - you can see that hey are closer to the wheel arches than stock rims.
I think you are talking the 17" for the group buy. Anyone interested in the 18's? He will give a good price in Canada but a group buy is always the way to go!

I don't know about the rest of you but I am getting sick of black wheels. Anyone else interested in the NM RSe12 in silver. You need to run 5mm spacers on the front to clear the brakes. Jerry says that he only brings in the black and the gunmetal. I need a few people to sign on for him to buy the silver ones. He normally buy 40 at the time but I'm sure that if there were 5 of us they might start up the machines!

No, I am only interested in 18's as I'm not fond of the 17's on the JCW...they just look too small. I corresponded with Alan @ Fikse and all the prices he quoted me were for 18's.

So $3500 is the group by price?

Hold on... no need for spacers AND you can get them in silver... Just have Jerry do the same thing to a set of silver RSe12's that he did for my red RSe05's. For $15 extra per wheel for the CNC charges, it is so worth it to not have to worry about spacers and be able to clear the JCW brakes!

I did a whole write up on this:

http://www.motoringfun.com/2015/09/2...jcw-brake-kit/

This is the silver version of the wheel that would just need to be slightly CNC'd:

http://www.neuspeed.com/340/24/0/286...ght-wheel.html

Once Jerry gets the CNC work done, the wheel is a straight fitment for your JCW:

I here you but those are 8" rims and I would prefer 7" or 7 1/2" rims. I'm only running 215's Pilot super sports. Nice thing with these on the stock rims is that the rubber overhangs the rim's edge so you get some warning before ******* rim rash strikes***With 8" I'd feel obliged to run 225's! Are yours 215's?

I believe you! Great tires! The only thing is that as you are running 215 45's you can get away with being the minimum size tire for that rim. However when you go to 18" 40's as there is less side wall the tires are right on the edge of the minimum. I would definitely not run 215 winter tires on those rims because in the -30 degree weather we get in Canada those tires are likely to loose their seal.......Cold day.... rubber shrinks.....hard cornering.......if you see what I mean.

Ahh yes - 215/40-18's would be a stretch (no pun intended)

I was not quoted any Group Buy Price, but I was offered a lower price & I believe the cost may come down with some time. About $700 to $750 per wheel seems about right. A Group Buy with commited buyers may get the best price. Great looking wheels! But, even $3,000 is a lot for wheels IMO...then, there's the cost of tires! Pricey! :-)

I agree. Super cool to show up with those on the car you would totally be the city hipster, wink - wink....but they just scream "STEAL ME"..... and then you will be shelling out another $3k! Gulp.

I love those in red with the red brakes it is all perfect. I think they will not look as good on my car. It's silver white/black roof. I think I need slightly more "meat" so to speak. I have all winter to decide. I have to sell the cross spokes first....

For anyone interested in Toronto, Canada I've decided to sell my RSe12 wheels + tires. Nothing against needing spacers (they work perfectly), but I've decided to go with a wider rim/wheel combo for next summer. Great deal for a practically new setup. Winters are on now!
