It is interesting that the newer wheels that clear the JCW brakes are more than 2 lbs heavier than the ones (705) that don't.
I have a set of 705's so will have to run spacers on the new JCW. Thanks Ryan for keeping an eye on the information trail!

Yes, its been updated, etk updated. Its weird because this is the first time JCW wheels came out that did not fit JCW brakes and they had to make the same set with a different design to clear them.

Yeah you can go too far with the CR thing I agree. I considered painting my wheel arches CR but that could be overkill (and cost me about $2000).

lol EXACTLY!!!! I actually don't mind the black trim complementing the black light trim and grill surrounds. Makes it look tough... I photoshopped the door handles on and I think i just finishes it off completely without going overboard...

Here is the photoshopped wheels and door handles I made when I was deciding what to do....

So... doing a NM rear sway bar right now and decided to put the Cross Spoe 506's on with the spaces 12mm front 15 mm rear....Wrong! The wheels won't clear the brakes with the 15mm spacers on the front - you would need 20mm minimum and then they would still be pretty close!
Drag, I have well over $2500 in these wheel and performance tires!

Did you use the 506's or 705's (ie. the 506's that are supposed to clear the JCW brakes?)?

I think both are 506's but they have different part numbers. I can't believe that MINI sell JCW wheels that do not fit the JCW! They came out before the JCW but they must have known......right? This is a big financial hit for me. Not sure what to do......
I'm sure I'll only get $200 each for the rims and I would have to pay to have the tires removed. Drag....

You know who that is? I tried mine and they don't fit even with 15mm spacers.

Edit: Never mind they are clearly the JCW specific wheels!

For anyone interested, Fikse makes a great 18" forged wheel (they sponsor the JCW race team in the Continental Tire Series) that will fit the F56 JCW, but they are pricey at $3,500 to $4,000 for a set of four! They do look great on the car though!

I think they make custom order rims built to spec, hence the price. http://www.fikse.com/wheels/profil/

Fikse Profil 10 in 18x7.5 to fit the JCW

You can see what they look like on the website and here on the race car:

www.minijcwteam.com

A group buy might get the price to under $3,000 for a set.

Wow - Love those! 02fanatic -you think they are running spacers - sure looks like it from the pics. Guess they have money at just expand the width somehow or maybe the wheels just do that??

I had success contacting the race team rep once...I could try again and ask the question. I also connected with the Fikse guy...he might know too, but I'd rely on the race team more (as long as they are running stock brakes).

I think they are really nice looking wheels personally!
