This has all been great info in this thread and very helpful.
I live in New Hampshire where the roads are crap, so am most likely going to stick to 17 inch wheels instead of going to 18's. I am still considering both options, but it just seems like the 17's are a better idea comfort-wise and in trying to avoid broken wheels due to potholes (which I am adept at avoiding, but accidents happen).
So I am thinking I will get the RSE 05 NM Engineering wheels and some Michelin PSS tires for summer, then keep the stock wheels and all season run-flats for the winter when I VERY RARELY drive the car, and only when roads are completely dry.
With that said, what else will I need? I know I can swap out the center caps between stock and NM but may get some for each set of wheels. What about TPMS stuff? Is there anything there that I need?
Thank you for your reply unfortunatly i live in the UK,so if i ordered any wheel from the USA i would end up costing a fortune by the time i paid carriage and import duty.Just seeing what people are using.I know a couple of you guys have used Enkei and somebody tried TSW but these were in 17" not sure if they would fit in 18".
Enkei TS-10 in an 18 inch size works on the f56 JCW without a spacer. A centering ring came with wheels to fit a MINI.
Just installed the RSe12's I've had sitting in the basement for the last 3 months! I'm using 12mm front and 15mm rear spacers. The tops of the wheels almost push past the top of the wheel wells. I love the look and think it really helps with the "gap". Do you guys think this is too far and should I reduce the spacers to 8mm front and 12mm rear (or some version of that). You need front spacers with these wheels.

Congrats on the NM wheels. Form that angle the fronts look to have a little more poke. But if you look straight down the side , it may be flush, cant tell at that angle, also if you lower the car it will change the looks.
Is anyone running the AC Schnitzer AC1 wheels seen here? I'm curious to see real life pics...I used to love the original BMW wheels they made, but I wonder what they look like on a MINI.

Any chances the ACS splitter will fit non JCW front S grill!? If so this is perfect!!
Just scoped the instructions. There is a version for the Cooper and S.
That being said it really does not look like it fits that well. It is not a smooth transition from the from of the JCW to the splitter. It will definitely hold water and dirt in the space between the underside of the existing body and the splitter and would likely be impossible to clean. Check the instruction's and you will see what I mean. I really wanted this to work for me because I have PDC and the front sensor will not allow the JCW splitter on my car.
Does anyone live in Texas that would be willing to swap JCW Cross Spoke wheels with me so I have a set that will clear the BBK? I have a deep deep fear that the ones I bought from a buddy won't clear.
