Hi just wanted to say I received my RSe12's (18") yesterday from NM. I pulled 1 out to look at it, and they are freaking gorgeous. One thing that is a bit strange my box says "satin black", not "matte black". They match the pics perfectly. I wonder why the difference? Not a big deal at all really.
I can't get them mounted until I finish applying my wheel sealant. Obviously it is much easier to do pre-mounting. I actually apply 3 coats on each wheel. It is a bit time consuming, but it is worth the effort. If I can get them finished up today, my local Schwab dealer quoted me $260 for EVERYTHING. Hell the quote I got from mini, which was for swapping out the TPMS only was $360!! And like I said that was for TPMS only. God knows how much they would charge me for removal, mounting wheels to my non- RF Michelins, road force balancing, and mounting the new set up. I'm sure they would nail me for at least $500. IDK my service guy who is the only guy I deal with is on vaca and won't be back until Tuesday.
Nice the RSe12's are very nice, we love them here. The JCW version 18" RSe12 are satin black . Has a satin sheen. They might have just changed the sticker name.
a friend has these and said they are great too. he drives on the track alot Potenza RE-71R
I have this set up and love it. The RSE12's do have a nice sheen to then, perfectly between flat and gloss. The RE-71R tires are just awesome at AX. Mi would not run these on the street as a DD but I don't so they are perfect for the track.
THEY DONT WORK!! called them up and they said there is nothing they can do. I told them that the only reason I ordered them because I talked to someone on the phone and they give me the # so I dont have proof of the call which is BS

That sucks, I take it they won't exchange them since they have been fitted? Shame since they do appear to have the correct ones, so it's not like they just tried to sell you ones they thought might work.
I paid the same thing for an OEM set through Amazon. $59.98 each. If I hadn't stumbled on these I would have bought the Dormans from ECS. You can't go wrong buying from them.

yea, most run 205 or 215, small spacers I believe were used for 225s.
I've started to change my opinion on larger tires on the F56. You run the risk of tramlining with a really wide contact patch and, more importantly, the body lines on the F56 really make the larger (and negative offset) tires push so far outward that you really need mud flaps to minimize the rash of road debris/slop on the sides of the body!
Admittedly, the tires look much better pushed out on the top of the wheel opening, but they are also pushed out (too far imo) on the bottom.
For those reasons, I'm perfectly fine keeping my JCW stock for now. The true test for me will be when I need to get new rubber. I may simply swap over to the Dunlops instead of my P7 Pirelli runflats.
Has anybody on here tried 18" aftermarket alloys,it seems everybody is going for the 17"ones.Its nice having such big brakes but getting rims to fit over them is a nightmare.
Thank you for your reply unfortunatly i live in the UK,so if i ordered any wheel from the USA i would end up costing a fortune by the time i paid carriage and import duty.Just seeing what people are using.I know a couple of you guys have used Enkei and somebody tried TSW but these were in 17" not sure if they would fit in 18".
