Helix/ECS projector headlights

I have a 06' Cooper base. One of my factory projector headlight is cracked and I was looking for some nice replacements and found these Helix/ECS projector headlights. Only issue is that it uses a H7 housing.

Anyone using these headlights that originally had projector/xenon headlights from the factory? Will these headlights work on my mini?
Can I just use a H7 hid kit? If so, would I get any error codes? I did find some adapters from oem D2S to H7..but unsure. I called ECS and the rep didn't know...

THanks!

Sorry they did not help. I will let them know about the thread. They will work, the plug going into the ballast headlights is the same as an H7. Then just get you favorite H7 LED headlight conversion kit and install. No error codes on the Gen 1 MINIs as they do not have the advanced LKM module like the newer Gen 2 MINIs.

I was just looking at that haha. But Alkaidovich had halogen lights from the factory. I did see someone in that thread mention getting these adapters and it'll work with a H7 hid kit? https://www.ebay.com/itm/161599546965?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageNa me=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Yes these will work on 2002-2006 MINI Coopers and 2005-2008 MINI Convertibles. https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/HMINI01H/

Sorry to bump up an old thread, I would like to buy the Helix projectors to update my old HIDs but I am unclear what product to buy to make this work. Your mentioned a conversion kit, what kit is this and where can I get it?

Hello,
Post #4 above, you will pretty much take out the old Xenon factory set up(bulbs and ballast) and you will have one plug that goes into that. You will connect the retrofit kit to that is H7 set up like the factory halogen set up.

We recently installed a set of these in my wife's 03 Cooper S originally equipped with xenon lights with no modification. They plug into the existing vehicle harness directly and the H7 bulbs work fine with no error messages. They definitely required aiming out of the box, but the beam pattern is quite good. We will upgrade the H7 down the road to probably a high output LED setup in the future.

Ditto, I just installed a set from ECS as well and had no issues other than aiming them as they were very low out of the box. They are plug and play. The headlight harness is identical.

They even have the levelling function, I've noticed.
