Interior/Exterior Cleaning up the rear end
Cleaning up the rear end
Over the past few weeks i've been chipping away at streamlining the back end of my R50. Ghetto electrical tape blackout on lower chrome line trim until I can find out how to pop it out without scratching paint. At that point I will CF wrap it. Wrapped the boot handle in 3M Carbon Fiber look vinyl and it turned out nicely. That was easier than I anticipated, although I did have to remove the interior boot cover to get at the plug when I needed to put it back together.
I've also debadged it. Now I just need to order a new set of tail lights (thanks, jerk who cracked one.)

Looks awesome !
Never saw anyone black out the lower chrome trim like that - I LIKE IT !
I have a set of rear tails for your MINI. I had them on my 03 for a while before installing a set of Euro clear center tails. Send me a pm for details if your intersted

ever think of doing a wiper delete? Did it on mine, looks so much cleaner. But i didn't use my rear wiper much even here in Connecticut, i could still easily see out the back during storms.
Thanks guys! You're right, only a MINI person will notice.. hahah.
I thought about it while I had the boot hatch interior panel off.. it would look much better! I do use the rear wiper quite a bit though, I think I would miss it.
