Agreed--Hands down--Valentine One. No better radar detector on the market.

I've got a Valentine, here's a real world reason from last night why it's the best....

Took my Works S out for it's first roadtrip, about 160 miles, and the added power was just too tempting....

So I'm doing about 70mph in a 45mph zone, very little traffic on the road so it wasn't incredibly horrible.... I mean, little kids weren't out playing in the road or anything.

Valentine goes off with a weak XA band signal in front of me, XA is almost always a cop, and the signal is getting stronger. Gave me plenty of time to slow down, set the cruise control to 45mph, and just cruise on by. Good thing too, as the patrol car was parked in the grass on the side of the road with all it's lights out, illegal in TN for police running radar so I've been told.... gonna add it to the speedtrap registry in a moment.

Anyway, had it been any other radar detecter I'd have known it was around but not where. Having this knowledge gives you the upper hand over all other detectors at any price.

Has anyone here actually got nailed while using radar detectors? And how many people have got the front and back laser-photo plate deflectors? Hmmm...plotting how to make my MINI invisible (or as close to it as possible) when it does get here...(its currently on the boat on the way over...wohoo!!!).

I have two passports in my family. My dad has a passport that is battery powered in his turbo porsche. I have the wired one I believe they are the 8500s? If anything it does give you a false sense of security which I love. It has saved me at least 3 times from speed traps especially up 101 in california.
