the opposite of chrome?

Playing around with the idea of purchasing a new MCS and was wondering what aftermarket parts or even factory parts I'd require to get rid of all the exterior chrome? Was thinking of getting a dark grey w/ the anthracite wheels and going for a nonchrome exterior appearance.

I know it's kind of a generic apperance but I think I might like it (any pics of someone pulling this look off in any exterior color would also be appreciated).

Sure, search for all blacked out MINIs (R50/R53/R56) for some examples.

Any Dark color- Dark silver or Black will work.
You can tint the side markers, tint the rear lights, and black out the chrome trim.

Order as little chrome as you can, make the side mirrors black or body color.

Paint the wheel arches, paint the headlight trim rings.

Wheels can be anthracite or black. Add the polished lip for accent or not.

Do you know if langston is still doing the headlight surrounds? Or if not, then who? I mean, I suppose I should actually 'order' my MINI before I start looking for mods but who ever had fun putting horse in front of the cart?

I would like to know if anyone has info on anthricite wheel finishes and just how durable are they. I want to put the Enkei ZR2's on my 07 R56.

I emailed him the other week. He's still wrapping.

As for the horse before the cart, you and me both. I have a list of mods a page long with no MINI yet! Sailing as we speak.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of chrome, and I'd love to color the chrome, especially around my soon to be R56's grille. Is there simply a replacement grille available?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see the JCW grille trim link. Thanks!
