[quote=Mach V Dan;1524564]I also mentioned this in another thread, but thought it was worth mentioning here...

We put together an LED kit for the R56. I put the Super White color in our shop car, although they're also available in red and blue.

That is awesome! I just ordered my kit! I got the blue's.

For the record... the footwell lights were a PITA. Come to realize the entire casing holding the bulb comes out instead of just the lens like every other light in the MINI.

Anyhow, I've finished and I only have one complaint about the kit... the double sided tape that came with the LED panel for the dome light SUCKS. I'm gonna have to find a better option as my panel is just sitting on top of the dome light lens now.

Other than that it looks awesome.

I had the same issue with the tape not sticking to the light in the overhead dome. I used some indoor/outdoor double sided tape and that seemed to help but for how long is anybody's guess.

i used a pair of needle nose pliers wrapped w/ a piece of cloth tape to remove the footwells. The puddles were easy, and the dome panel hasn't fallen off yet, but I could see that it isn't very strong and I expect it to fall off at some point.
I haven't put any others in yet, because I asked for white (map, trunk, glove) and was sent blue. Easy RMA, but some of those are backordered now. I do have to say that the blue lights really look good at night, especially since Yuko is blue too.

I put the blue led's in my car yesterday. Easy install, the hardest part was the footwells. If anybody is wondering what it looks like, it looks exactly like the pictures. I didnt think the pictures would accuretly reflect the glow, but they do. I also got the white map lights. Thanks a bunch!!!

Am I the only person who had trouble with getting white map lights? Actually, I asked for more that just map lights, but i don't think that was the reason.

krim, give us a call during business hours and we can tell you about your order. There's a lot of different bulb types/colors; sometimes we run out of certain ones.

Edit: Oh, wait, I see from above you already GOT your order. Does that mean you did NOT get the white map lights you wanted? PM me.

Dan: PM sent

Everyone else: that wasn't a complaint, just confirming my lifetime bad luck with custom orders.

As far as I know '09 cars have the same interior light setup as 07-08 cars, so all the R56 kits will still work.

Hi Mach V Dan,
Im not sure if you answered Merlins questions above (possibly by PM). I too am interested in your product however $85 postage to Australia seems a little excessive (probably from the automatic shipping calculator) Could you please provide me with an additional quote (or clarification that it actually costs $85 to post to Australia?)

Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm working on this. So far I can't get the web site to auto-quote US Postal rates. You can either order using a credit card, and put "Hey Dan, give me US Postal Shipping" in the comments (and we'll adjust your order), or just email me...I know I have an email or two from international customers about just this subject. I'll try to get to that tomorrow.

First class mail to Australia will be $10. For now, the web site can't calculate that, so you'll have to put "Ship USPS for $10" in the Comments field when you check out. We'll adjust your credit card charge or refund your PayPal payment, as appropriate.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for getting back - I was one of the people that emailed. $10 sounds great!

Order will be getting put through over the next day!

Order placed!

So I might be the first in Aus to have this set up?

Mach V Dan - can you please PM me before pulling together the order? I would like to have the boot light and the glovebox light as white LEDs if possible (the rest of the kit blue as per the order)

Do you have any pics showing the difference between the standard LED dome light and the "deluxe" one or whatever it's called?

I'm not sure what you are asking.

To everyone: We get enough requests for white map lights that we're thinking of just making that the color for all the map lights, no matter which kit you get. (The thinking is that when you turn on your map lights, you don't really want mood lighting, you just want white light to light up stuff. Like maps...)

What do you think?

So, for $69 I get "...including a conventional (not a panel) LED for the dome lamp" and for $96 I get "AND the dome light panel." I'm wondering if you have pics showing the difference in dome lamps between the two kits.

As for the white bulbs, maybe you could let people choose the colors separately? I think I'd want ones that match the rest. I had red bulbs in my last car and I didn't mind them.
