My boost gauge is reading low and I looked at the T fitting and the rubber outer cover for the hose is cracked in multiple places. I taped it up to see if it would seal, but no luck. I'm looking for a replacement piece but I haven't found one yet. Anyone have suggestions on where to find it? Didn't see anything on autometer's website.
Looks like you can also use a small piece of the right diameter hose, good luck! Head over the the oldest auto parts store in town, the guy behind the counter should be able to help. Talk to the old guy, not his teenage helper.
How about a ground? Where do you ground the light? just put a 2 5/8 JEGS boost/vac gauge and autometer pod in the mini today 56 bucks total from jegs comes with vac hose and t-fitting. O yea my car makes 10 psi at WOT is that about right for a stock mini?
10 PSI is about right for a stock MCS.
You can ground the gauge with any bolt that touches metal under the dashboard. I used a bolt that screws in a metal part near the pedals.

Thanks
mine only runs 9... :(
EDIT: Fixed the slightest of boost leaks and now running 11-12psi on stock.

all autometer? I've never seen those mounting pods before their nice!!! How hard are the other gauges compared to the boost? I finished it in about an hour
Yup, all autometer. Those are the Cravenspeed dual pod gauges. They're amazing. I'm going to make some custom fiberglass backs to them though. The gauges are all pretty simple. Both the volts and water temp were easy peasy. I haven't gotten to the oil pressure yet because i'm waiting to change my oil to do it at the same time. But I ordered the tapless oil adapter from craven speed and that's a simple switch out. They're pretty easy!
So I have a problem now the check engine light came on. So I took it apart to check the connections and the bottom part of the T-fitting has a brass plug in it, the one that goes to the fuel pressure regulator. I'm guessing I need to pull that out and reset the battery?
thank you so much! i finally bought the autometer gauge and mounting cup and it installed great with this write up! also a special note thanks for the pictures of the normal boost vacuum hose hookup because i dont have all those extra hoses so i would have been way confused with those images. thanks everyone for your help! i now have a boost gauge for around $80 instead of $350
Anyone have any issues with the gauge itself leaking?
I've got the Autometer gauge, a high pitched whistle in the cabin, that can only be heard when the engine is running, if everything else is off, and my yo-yo is severely acting up, and I've been getting periodic system too lean codes.

About the Yo-yo and the lean codes I can't help you there...
Well my theory is the gauge has a vacuum leak that is causing imbalances in pressure in the wrong places, that's causing the other issues.
