Seen two black MCS in downtown on Alakea St. Was going training for TMobile seen the first on Alakea and the second in i think the Alii building parking lot. Anyone of those drivers here?!?

Quite a few sightings for a "unique" car

 

I was in Hawaii for vacation last week. I saw about 5 minis in Kailua. One DS MCS and the rest MCs.

 

I live over on the windward side, and ours is a Yellow / Black MCS with the plates "POLLN8". There's an electric blue S over here too, but I have yet to meet the guy. I've also got a '71 Mini (red with a Union Jack on the roof, plates say "MYMINI&quot - so you may have seen me in that too.

I always honk and wave at Mini people. Haven't run across one yet that doesn't at least smile or wave back!

 

seen about two reds, one silver, one ds,one indy blue, one black, one yellow, one green. talked to a guy that had a red s when i was at bavarian motor sports a car place that a machanic from mini comes and does work on the minis over here( iam on the big isle and so all the minis get work done at the same time). so i was talking to the guy and he noticed my mods ( that is the reson for the thread) but the guy was saying that his was just cause the minis are awsome. that is totaly true but mine is faster

Sunday morn seen an all CR Mini on H2 by pali exit going Ewa bound. Had a Minnie Mouse antenna ball.

 

I havent seen another mini in a few weeks.

 

While Sadie was at MofH getting her transmission computer updated, and I was riding around in a friend's 10 year old Hyundai, I saw four Minis in Kalihi to Ala Moana area: a PS/B, a SG/W, a PW/PW and an all black. But as we've said, they'd have thought I was an idiot if I'd have waved.

After getting Sadie back, I saw another/same PW/PW parked at Ward Warehouse.

L. Mini suggested we print up little flyers (four on a page, cut them) about our upcoming events, latka's website, and so forth to put on Minis we see parked. Good idea!

 

Saw a BRG/Black MINI in Hilo this morning.

 

I'm beginning to think Mililani should be called MINIlani

Just saw a JB/W MCS with the license plates "MNHUNE"
Hmpf! Must be a "cousin" of our MINIhune

 

Must be the male cousin. Many hunnies!

 

Yesterday in town, I saw a CR/W MCS on Queen St. about 5 pm, and a PW/B MC turning into the Ross/Sports Connection parking lot on Ward around 1 pm, while I was waiting for Sadie to get her windows tinted at T&T (great job).

 

No Mini sighting but Sadie how dark is your tint? How much? That's one of the first things i'm going to do when I get my mini. Hrmm can't wait!!

38%, which is legal here for front side windows, plus I didn't want to make it so dark no one (another Mini driver) could see me wave. :evil: The "halo effect" isn't too awful but certainly obvious from both inside and outside car. Thanks to Kohu`ulaMINI for the tip about using black nail polish. Buck a bottle at WalMart and no brushes to clean.

I could have gotten it cheaper, I know, but the BMW service mgr recommended T&T and since so many people on the main board had trouble with tint companies screwing up the window-snug-up feature, I decided to spend the extra and have it done really right.

 

I spotted a silver S with stripes in Manhatten and a Cooper in the new art gallery area by the river on Wed. I was in town for just the day and was pleasently suprised to see a couple of fellow motorers.

 

Maybe Latka would know. Was at Volksgerman getting my safety check for my jetta. Saw an old school Mini on the same street Iwalani. Green mini white top and yellow rims. Very clean Mini.

 

That'd be Philip's car. 1380cc, loud exhaust. Mini "Mayfair" that has been updated a bit. Lowered. It's a really nice Mini.

...might have to put my cherry bomb on the red Mini before the Spring Fling. If I can't be fast, at least I can be loud :smile:

 

Is that the guy that goes hotrodding @ Kakaako?

 

I really don't know. A guy I knew from school said he and his buddies saw him (Philip) down at Sandy Beach one afternoon in the Mini.

I've got a short video clip of him from the Autocross when we met. I should throw that up on my site so you guys can see it. It's a cool little Mini :smile:

At 6:00pm on Saturday I saw an Indy Blue / White MINI Cooper S at the corner of Mokapu and Kaneohe Bay Drive over here on the windward side. Man...Indy blue looks good on the Cooper S!
