Visited Oahu last week. Saw a zillion Minis, certainly more than I see in California. Loved that electric blue S.

I've been looking for you but I have not seen you at costco. I did see another mini with I think Leeward community college stickers on it. And I have seen Sadie once at the Minilani Town Center. Next time I have to be sure to honk and wave.

Yes, it is likely that the IB/W MCS is me but be sure it has an aero grille and white tail lights because my other twin IB/W MCS? stock version I think has also been seen on the old side of Minilani.-by me.

We should figure out some sort of special wave or honk when we see each other. Let me know if you get a copy of the Italian Job VHS movie tape from Sadie- will talk about it next time I see you on Saturday.

 

I saw two on the way to work this morning. An all black MCS that I flashed and waved at but he ignored me... and a seafoam green MC with a Wyland looking mural down the side, and no wave either...sheesh

Maybe it was too early, not enough caffine yet!

today on Red Hill saw a vr cooper with paper plates 4/03. didn't see if it was kohua but nice. Then saw another red mcs by stadium. das all

Don't think Kohu'ulaMINI's been out of the garage today (just talked to her), but Judy told me a month ago that another Minilani resident was getting a VR very soon (then), to say nothing of the 6 VRs that came in that big shipment right before Kohu'ulaMINI.

 

Earlier in the week I saw in Waipahu a darksilver/Black MCS stock 16' wheels with paper 5-03 plates and handicap parking permit- a lady was driving it. This morning on my way to Kapolei I saw an all black Cooper with plates NBU 326. I gave him the thumbs up and he smiled and did the same. He was headed out to waianae side.

 

Lets see, I saw a VR/VR Cooper pulling into MINIs parking lot this afternoon when I left @ 4:00 this afternoon AND MINIhune in Kapolei. I was going to Chilis for lunch and some beverages with some instructors @ 1:30 and I saw the IB/W MCS. Looks like you were warming up your tires & checking your suspension! I flashed my high beams and no flash back.

Got the '71 on the road and took 'er out for a little shakedown. On the way to Windward Mall I saw a nice gal in an Indy Blue / White Cooper. She smiled & waved, and then pointed at my car and said "That's the Mini I wanted to get!"

Man I missed drivin' the little guy... even if he is sorely lacking in the power department. I can only shudder when I think what it would be like with the smallest (850cc) engine!

Good job, Please keep your little mini runnin. I've got to see you in action. Plus we need more original minis in Hawaii to keep the newer ones company.

 

Spotted a chili red/Checkerboard roof cooper or MCS at Kokohead and 12th avenue in Kaimuki at 11am with a full load of passengers. plates were united america "Axxxx"
We exchanged friendly waves. :smile:

If there is one thing you CANNOT do, is be annonymous in a Mini- it's just impossible-Wait and see when you drive around. Minis are people magnets.

hey thanks minihune. Can't you tell I love red!!.
The wait wasn't long, about 2 months. I thought would be longer but hey being earlier ain't too bad. Oh and the Gold nice!! I would have been all over the car if the owner wasn't there picking it up . But hey I had my own mini to look over! And it being Inconspicuous nope but it's a mini you want to turn heads, unless your going fast you don't want to turn a cops head. I'm at work and can't wait to motor. I usually don't take breaks but I might have to just sit in there!

 

Definitely color coordinated. Red w/ black top for the MINI, red shirt w/ black hair for MINIphyter! Now you need to find some red and black sneakers.

I saw an Indy Blue/White Cooper, Hawaii Plate NBD 211 headed towards the H2 freeway at 215pm on Sunday.
Too far away to wave 4 lanes away- shucks.

 

Today at the airport parking area I spotted a chili red/red cooper with aero rear bumper and side flares with fenders all painted red, CVT,sport package with 16" 5 spoke wheels in silver, red space cloth, and HI plates RCKT-88. I think I have seen him in the costco parking lot and he might live in Waipio.
