OK, is this a BMW CCA event? Would be good to get some (lots of) MINIs to attend.
Count me in. What if my car is already clean? Does that count for anything?
How does the clean car Contest work?
Oktoberfest? Haben Sie bier hier? I mean there.

Yes, this is a CCH event. MINIs are always welcome as they are a part of BMW NA.

No extra points for your car being clean at the beginning of the drive. We drive, then we have the contest at the end. Maybe we'll give participants 30 minutes to clean their car. Cleanliness will be judged on interior, exterior and engine compartment. Even wheelwells will be checked!

Do I get any points if I drink beer and eat roasted peanuts in my car (not while driving of course) and then clean it all up?
No fair- what if someone has a brand new car? Unless it is a muddy day there won't be much to clean up!

Anyway I'll do it and hope other MINIs will join me. I can always toss those nasty peanut shells out the window right?
Just kidding- I hate hate hate hate hate litter bugs. Did I say hate enough times? Hate um.

By the way I don't drink beer. So there.
Maybe I'll drink milk and eat oreos.

I'm assuming by the name of the run, because it's in October...not the beer festival
If scheduling allows....I am interested in participating.

It's for both. Oktoberfest is always in October. A traditional fall german beer festival.
Kohu'ulaMINI-Glad to have your join in. Lets wear Lederhosen! Like those men in my
picture! We need some of those nifty hats too.

Doesn't matter what you have. You're invited. Got any oreos?
Maybe we can turn it into our eating bonanza ride on the way back with stops at our fav snack shops/stops.
Remember- lederhosen needs to be brown, not black. And don't forget the long stockings to coverup those hairy legs.
You didn't think they were for looks only did you? Anybody know how to do the polka? Better break out my accordian soon.

OK count me in, as long as we don't really have to wear those funky German outfits .

So where is Wisteria Zippy's?

awww....man, that's the weekend my best friend is visiting from out of town!

I'll try to be there!

Hey minihune...what are you so worried about? Don't you wash your car every day?

I wash my car twice a day usually. Once when I get back for something dirty and once before I go to bed so I don't have to do it first thing in the morning.
If I get lazy I do it at night before I put my garage door down. Then I brush my teeth and log in to MCO all night. Then it is time to check the car for any dirt and a new day begins. Crazy huh. But my MINI is happy being clean.

By the way, I think my dad has an accordian (don't ask why...) which I'll have to bring for you!

they can if it's 20 mini's

if not, park right next door in front of the clinical lab/kaneohe pt. there's open parking on sundays for a few cars. and in back. hopefully, they don't have a big party, otherwise forget about the parking.

Hey beastie,

Could you edit the subject of this post to add that this event is in Hawaii?? As much as I'd LOVE to come, NJ is just way too far and my lowered MC is not much of a puddle jumper

Thanks in advance,
Kim

Awh Shucks, HARMINI you're invitied too. It's in October which is plenty of time to go
under the waterline and drive over here. You just need a really tall tall tall tall snorkel and some
calm seas. You don't happen to know how to do a pulley install? Do you? If so we could invite you
to do a pulley party with your eyes closed. And then go celebrate at Pahke's with dessert.

The island drive will end at the new digs of BME Hawaii.

Don't forget to bring a picnic lunch and some beach towels. You may want to take a nice dip in the ocean before heading back into town!

P.S. You may want to bring cleaning supplies, too!

Hmm... lederhosen. I actually have a picture of me in lederhosen. Thankfully it was from when I was a child though. Was born in Wiesbaden, and we lived in Großostheim...which is about 20km southwest of Frankfurt, just tucked inside the state of Bayern. My old German teacher (from Stuttgart) said that was the reason I was so crazy

Sitting around for an hour and a half??? No way, we'll leave promptly after the stragglers arrive. Maybe an hour of waiting around.

Yes, let do be on time and ready to go.
We need to be somewhat organized and have a plan for when to go. Who will lead and what do we do to regroup.
The Euro car rally was not the best run. Didn't seem that anyone was really in control and they didn't tell us what the plan was for stopping or meeting on the destination side.
A written description or map or something would be helpful.
A time course of where and when is good in case there are straggers they can catch up.
Cell phone contact numbers would be good.
Do we need family radios- the Motorolas and such tuned to a station that will give us a com system to use while driving? Best to run those when there are two persons in a MINI so you don't have the driver doing the radio!
