So far it's about a dozen BMWs and MINIs. I do have nice prizes for the clean car contest!

Latka- remember the eurocar rally- some two audis two 3 series BMW a few Passats and 87 Jettas. and us 4 MINIs and the red monster. 90 of us didn't know what was going on. Not what I call managable numbers.

A dozen? Piece of cake. We can drive bumper to bumper. BMW precision style. Like a bomber formation. We can be the MINIwaffe.!!!!
You must have alot of hecks in your car if you'll bother to clean them out.
I got my hecks out last week.

Rain, rain...go away. It's friggin' pouring here in Kaneohe right now. Hopefully we get a nice day on Sunday for the cruise!

Just checked on some "historic" race tires for the '71... $117 a piece. Ouch! That's a lot 'a greenbacks for a 10" tire!

Lookin forward to Sunday. Going to wash the remaining hecks out of my car tomorrow

Still have my dealer plates, but count me in.
Btw, did anyone post an itinerary? The first two stops would be helpful, just in case.

Dealer Plates???? You'll be my first victim of handicapping in the clean car contest.

As for the first stops, check the 1st page. We meet at Zippy's at 9am and people can mosey around, order food and drinks, talk story, wait for others to arrive. We'll probably depart @ 9:45 - 10:00. We do have to wait for stragglers. If no new people arrive within a 10 minute span, we leave.

Need info as to where we are during the day? Call my cell at 721-8628.

I didn't think I would be able to go but after reshuffling a few things I have to do on Sunday I can at least do half of the run , depending on how time is running.

And Welcome Lazule, first post too.

Aloha and welcome Lazule,

Dealer plates? not a problem. We would be glad to have you join us. You're still in the break in period- so we will behave nicely. What kind of MINI should we be looking for besides dealer plates?

9am Wisteria Zippy's parking lot piikoi and King

The motor through:
Waikiki
Diamond Head
Sandy's

Not sure what time exactly but you can reach us by cell phone.
Check your PM

Electric Blue ... moon roof. S with 1,300 miles....ready to rock.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome! Btw, my Mini is well over two months old and I'll opt out of the clean car contest for more reasons than the obvious.

alohas,
Lazule

Sorry about that ghui. I knew you guys were coming, but I had a brain fart.

Lazule, not to worry about the CCC. Your car may be new, but it will still be on equal footing with the other cars!

MiniKahuna has graciously donated 10 sets of limited edition MINI trading cards. Sooo, the first 10 MINIs to show up will get a set!

"BF"? Is that smelly? Or just loud. If you have a header is it even louder? Didn't think so. More like a silent one I guess!?!?!?

Yes, our master has leveled the playing field so that all boys and girls can play safely and sanely. No biting no fighting.

Lazule-
Can't wait to see your MCS and meet you. No problem with the clean car contest. Two months? How much dirt can happen in two months

Ooohhhh, I'm nervous.

And now for the weather:
Sunday -...clear to partly cloudy with isolated
showers mainly nights and mornings, in windward and mauka areas.
highs mid 80s. Lows 70 to 75. Trades 15 to 25 mph.

Why does that sound familiar? Could it be that this is the forecast every darn day?
I could be a forecaster.

OK- Beastmaster-
When does the Oktoberfest event end- What time approx????

Whoa, That's a long day if we start at 9am- sounds like we meet at 9am but don't get started until quite a bit later!
Then drive and have lunch around 1230-1pm then drive back for some cleaning and then the contest. Then judging and so forth.

I just got back from Zippy's....didn't go on the cruise, but wanted to check everyone out. Of course it's impossible for my life to be drama-less, so something was bound to happen while I was there. I hung out, talked story, picked up a napple for my son, then tried to leave.....but my MINI wouldn't start. So in shock, I walked back and told Beastmaster who tried calling the dealership for me. During which time, I asked erik808 to try starting my car in hopes that it was "just me".....but still nothing. Finally some of the group crowded around my car as the_Beastmaster popped the bonnet to check things out. I was on the phone with roadside assistance when the guys discovered the problem and quickly fixed it.

Anyways, my initial shock turned into frustration, then excitement, then embarassment....so if I didn't get to thank you then, I'll thank you now.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My MINI is going in this week for servicing, I promise!

Glad I could "plug in" as everyone was leaving Zippy's. Great group and well organizied, now if only more of the MINI's had comm's (radio's). Sorry I had to bug out after Maunawili but I did post some pictures on the Hawaii Gallery. I hope I can stick around for the whole deal next time.

Aloha,

Steve
