The Peerage of the Pepper White
Minireefer, the PW Peerage is honored to be the recipient of your very first post.
Welcome to NAM! We know you're going crazy waiting for your MINI, but this too shall pass (eventually).
Since your a definite, prospective PW, I recommend you go to Post#1 in this thread and pick out an unused number to your liking. Grab your place on the list for posterity!

Plus, to me at least, PW looks like such a retro/vintage color and I wanted my Mini to look classic.
I showed pics of both colors to several friends, and all of them liked the dark silver over the pepper white. Are my friends too conservative in terms of style?
After ordering, I know in my gut that I made the right choice in terms of color (I would have regretted it if I hadn't picked PW), but was just wondering what other PW owners thoughts are on the why they chose PW.

I love cars from the 20's and '30's. To me, the all PW and the curves of the bonnet recapture the essence of those cars. I love the fact that it looks very classy, almost conservative, but under the bonnet. . . whoo-ee! What a motor! MCS rocks!!!! I like a car that performs, but doesn't scream for attention. (Having said that, I would love a yellow MINI with b/w checks someday as my #2 MINI!)

I chose Pepper White because, although... all MINIs are different from each other, I wanted to be different in a different way.
I mean, I always see really colorful MINIs, but I wanted to stand out with the clean simple elegance of PW. Even went with PW roof. I'll probably have the wheel arches painted PW eventually.

Very well said! I couldn't agree with you more. I too went with PW/PW so mine would stand out even more. I originally thought I'd get a dark silver, but there are sooooo many in my area that I just couldn't. Plus, once I saw pics of the pepper white (versus the images on the MINI USA configurator) I really dug it. Then, one day I saw a pic of a NAM pepper white owner's car (all white) and it was so hot I decided that was the color for me. I just looked at my car in the parking lot a few minutes ago and smiled thinking, I REALLY MADE THE RIGHT COLOR CHOICE all the way around!
I feel like it is an honor to own a Pepper White.

So, now that you've had your PW/PW a whole day, I'm dying to see some photos. It might make my wait a little easier! Hope you're having tons of fun motoring!

I must agree with you both. The only other color besides the PW that even causes me to give a second glance is BRG/W. Although I prefer the classic BRG to the new metallic one. I just got back from the U.K. not that long ago and PW is a very popular color over there (thankfully).
Nice to hear PW is popular across the pond. Plenty of mirror caps and paint chip repair kits! I posted a link from another NAM thread here within the last 10 months, showing a lovely PW MINI in the Buckingham Palace parking lot!
Specs
Thanks TDM,
Its an (as of yet) completely stock 2005, pepper white with black roof and black/black interior. 5 speed, auto climate, computer, with basic 15" wheels. We chose it for its excellent condition and gas mileage (50+ real time). Its most remarkable "feature" is that its a pristine (inside and out) 3 years old with < 20,000 miles.
I'm still learning about options and configurations, especially "you can have this function programmed" like door autolocking. I need a manual for the manual.
