Nice!!! Getting back to a couple earlier posts - where does the Dragon take place? I've had my MINI for two and a half months now and haven't participated in one event. If the dragon is anywhere close I'll definitely be joining you guys and gals.

Very nice in deed!

Well, my 07 PW/B has been retired, good news is it is being replaced with an 06 PW/B, so I get to keep my number!

Hey Annette, just a thought, is is possible to just continually update your first post with new members instead of a new post for each? That list is getting so long eventually it's going to take a page to post it. Great job for keeping us going Annette! Unless others object and want to see them every time? But I think it would be nice to just see: Welcome "MINI OWNER", number xxx is yours.

I second that request, would eliminate a ton of scrolling. Regardless it's fine - I love my peerage.

Just out of curiosity, TWON, why are you getting a R53 over your R56???

Personally I prefer the First Gen body style over the 2nd Gen body style... I love my 06 MINI *ducks and hides*

Yep, I was just thinking of adding the list to the original post and updating it as we went. Of course when I started this venture I never thought we'd go past a few dozen LOL.
CC, I'm adding you to the list.
Msteadman, The Dragon is a stretch of Hwy 129 in Western North Carolina. It is also the site for the yearly MINI get together in May. Go check the events area of NAM here- https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...play.php?f=233
Or check out tailofthedragon.com

After many, many visits to service for little problems as well as a couple really big ones and spending 2 out of the 6 months I owned it in the shop, I was more then patient enough and decided to have them buy it back. MINI has been absolutely great about this, BTW!

My 07 had to have the transmission, clutch and throwout bearrings replaced due to problems that were there from the first day I drove it. That was a long process in it's self. Then one day my mini just decided it wasn't going to start anymore, this was more that a month ago.... they have still been unable to start it to this day, so a week or so ago I said enough is enough.

My intention was to order the exact same thing with all the same options. But then I got to thinking, it would be really nice to save some money, so I guess this was the main motivation to it... but there are many reasons really. And because I am one of the bunch that likes the looks of the 1st gen better as well, I started searching. I figured if I didn't find anything, I would just have them order me the 08. I had a very exact mini in mind with very specific options. I came close a couple times to finding one, then I came across "TRIPP" as mother has since named the 06 I now have. It had it all at a great price that I couldn't pass up, so with no further ado, I present for the first time, "TRIPP"....

She's an 06, with pretty much all options including the factory JCW package but no NAV. 10, 060 miles, the clearbra already installed. The rest you can see, the best color as we all know with beige leather, I love the interior!

"TRIPP", because I found it in WA state and I live in CA. My mother said, "I feel like going for a road trip, I'll go get it for you" So my mother was off to WA along with my grandma to accompany her. And on her way home, she called me to say "we've named her TRIPP, so it is...

Thanks! North Carolina isn't too far from me so I'll definitely have to give it some consideration. What are the dates of this event???

Wow, what a story! Very glad everything worked out in the end though and that your dealer was so nice about the entire thing. They really can make or break the entire experience. I have an R56 and have been tempted by the R53's as well. That GP especially is amazing.

Really having any model of the MINI you can't go wrong. And you definitely picked a nice one; those wheels especially are sick!

Hi Pepper White fans,

I too have one with all the glossy black trimmings including the bonnet stripes. My question is: have you ever seen bonnet stripes going down the back and if so, how does it look?
Thanks

If you mean boot stripes, I have them and find the look to be great!

(Sorry for the dirt. Weather was horrible when I took these and haven't been able to get any updated pics since).

IMO having the bonnet stripes begs for them - an exact match.

I also have them, would post a pic, but it looks the same as Msteadman's, even the color... to each their own, if I could take mine off and give them to you I would, I don't car for it all that much. Mine will be removed at some point

Thanks, our new rear stripes are on and look great. Nice thing about them is they are easy to take off if the look gets old. Many thanks !

Greetings,

As a new owner of an 07 MC PW/B I would like to join the club. If I'm reading the list correctly, I would request #84. I will wait for confirmation before claiming it in my signature.

Thanks.

I noticed I haven't posted any pictures of my Pepper White in this thread in a while, so here we go!

Enjoy!
