Pepper White Support Group

Hey Everyone, I need some Pepper White Car Washing support after a week of rainy weather!! Anyway, I'd like to join the Pepper White folks and get a title for me and my Mini... how about #2002? in tribute to my BMW that's been on vacation since getting my Mini S! Is this number OK?

I've got a rather naked 2004 Pepper White (all around) MCS with tan/black interior -- pictures will come eventually.

Oh and, today, I had my first "NICE MINI" announced over a monster truck's loud speaker while stuck in traffic!

Haha that is awesome now all you need to do is get a speaker system installed on yours so you can reply "Thank you good buddy"
Actually I was thinking about getting one installed just for the fun of it

Basically the best way to keep your car clean is turning down the OCD **** a few notches our PW cars get soo dirty soo quick that you cant tangibly keep up with it. I know right after I wash mine I can drive for 2 minutes and the boot is already dirty.
That brings me to step 2....dont judge the dirtiness of your car by the boot...you just have to come with terms that the car throughs its dirt on the back, and it can be avoided and is not worth trying to keep up with

A little tip about rainy weather that I have found is to use it to your advantage to get some dirt off the boot...just lightly using your hand gets some much gathered dirt off....its not the cleanest looking after it dries, but definitely a good in-between wash method

Oh also must invest in a clay bar (which i still need to do) just for the boot. It picks up these little orange and black dots that are stuck on and really need to be scrubbed off...

Speaking of dirty boots; I've been considering getting mud flaps for my PW in the hopes that I'll get less splashing back there. Does anyone have/recommend them? Does anyone not? I'm hoping they'll be worth the price (just under $100 installed) to help keep some of the filth off the car.

Colorado winters are really quite mean to clean MINIs, so I'm hoping that you guys have some input.

Does anyone here have a picture of a PW (black top) MINI with the Union Jack on the roof? I'd like to see how this looks because I may end up having one put on my car. Thanks in advance.

I dont have it on the roof...yet....but have been considering it myself. I have the rear view mirror cover and replaced the outside mirror covers as well and love them. I am thinking about just the sunroof but cannot decide if that would look funny or not...if I come across a picture I will post the link for ya.

I'm considering them as well. From everything I've read, they're definitely recommended from a cleanliness perspective. Problem is just that they change the lines of the MINI a bit. I'll probably get the front ones installed soon, but I dunno, the rears just look a bit 'different' to me. That said, anything that goes to keep the boot even a bit cleaner certainly seems worth it.

(And while I'm posting here) a couple updated pics of my MINI.

Tint, wheel/tire upgrade, ALTA cat-back and JCW black grille trim done. Will try to get better pics up once the Eibach springs are installed on Monday.

RE: Mudflaps - I have seen the splash guards installed on MkI and I don't particularly like them very much. As Msteadman points out, the rears certainly change the look of the car. But even the fronts seem to detract from the lines. They just scream 'afterthought.' Plus, while they might save a little splashing on the paint surfaces, they seem to create other harder to clean areas that will trap dirt and moisture. Just my humble opinion.

Yes, please do keep me in loop when/if you find this combination. At first I thought it may not look that good, but then I thought that with the contrast of colors between the Union Jack and the black roof could really make it look nice.

Btw, I'll be in San Antonio in a few weeks!

As a former 05' PW/PW MC owner...I felt compelled to stop by and declare that after two years of being sans-MINI, I plunked down a deposit for an 08' PW/B 6-speed MCS today at Long Beach MINI. Of course I only intended to take a test drive (hadn't been behind the wheel of a MINI since April 2006), but my MA had a slot open and I decided to go ahead and order...and as the deposit is apparently non-refundable, I'm in!

Specs include: Premium, Cold Weather, MFSW, Chrome Line Int., Anthracite Headliner, and some lovely black bonnet stripes!

Now, the only problem is...how to get rid of my 06' Civic...Happy to be back on NAM, I've never let go of my MINI lust

Hello fellow peerage,
I have recently done the Joey mod on my R56...if anyone is thinking about doing it I say go for it because its a fun, enjoyable mod that really goes well on our pepper whites (thats if you're trying to get rid of that chrome)

Hi Suzanne! I ordered a PW/B MCa yesterday. I got my production # and my paperwork says it will be week 10. I'm on the opposite coast from you so I don't know if we could be ship-mates? I'm pretty new to MINI-tracking.

This is the 2nd MINI in the family, my husband has a 2004 BRG/W MCS 6-speed. Now I just need to decide on a PW Peerage #.

if you put some returns between the picture inserts then then will be vertically.

(ex:

)

then that will work
