I say charcoal or the machined....machined looks pretty nice there and I agree I have wanted black wheels for a while but now that everyone is going black its time to think of something a little different.

New Guy

My PW/B MCS is en route New York aboard the M/V Mignon, so I guess now's a good time to de-lurk. Can I get #509?

BTW, Annette, I LOVE your car's name. El Kabong is perfect!

Call me biased, but I like the machined lip these days. I feel they provide a good contrast and make the wheel's stand out a bit. Black=covert. You'll want people to look I'm sure, I know I did.

Peerage Request

Hi everybody,

I'm new to NAM and anxiously awaiting shipping info on my '08 MCS PW/PW. It's currently sitting in Southampton, apparently having just missed the boat .

May I have #611, please?

Cheers!

Just ask for one and it's yours! Might want to take a look at page 1 first though, to see what #'s are taken

Hello!

Hey everyone!

I am a proud new owner (3 weeks now) of "Scooter", a 2006 JCW Pepper white MCS convertible... would that be a "PWMCSC?" I just discovered the Pepper White owners club and would love to join these prestigious ranks.

Is Peerage Number 1969 still available?

Thank you yeah I liked the way the door handle blends in with the rubber around it, but I do have a feeling it may need some touchup every once in a while because it is just that layer of paint; no clear or anything

do my friends have no sense of style ?

I just ordered a PWB MCS, but it was a tough decision on the color. I was also considering dark silver with a black roof.

I've always liked the PWB because the PW really shows off the black roof and the nice black trim on the Mini. Plus, to me at least, PW looks like such a retro/vintage color and I wanted my Mini to look classic.

On the flip side, the dark silver is a cool looking modern color, but in my opinion, doesn't show off the black roof and black trim as nicely as the PW. And it doesn't catch your eye as much as some of the more interesting Mini colors (like PW, mellow yellow, etc). I think dark silver is a sharp, but very safe color, if that makes sense.

I showed pics of both colors to several friends, and all of them liked the dark silver over the pepper white. Are my friends too conservative in terms of style?

After ordering, I know in my gut that I made the right choice in terms of color (I would have regretted it if I hadn't picked PW), but was just wondering what other PW owners thoughts are on the why they chose PW.

Yes, yes they are to conservative. You made the right choice.

I picked the PW because I'm not into red cars, I see blue everywhere, and all the other colors are too dark. I get a lot of non MINI people telling me that the PW is the "best" color all the time.

+1

Yes once I saw that color I knew I had found the perfect one for me...the blues and reds are everywhere, plus PW looks sooo amazing and classy yet sporty

Congratulations!

I chose Pepper White because, although certainly MINIs are entirely different from all other cars, and all MINIs are different from each other, I wanted to be different in a different way. (Whoa, does that make any sense??)

I mean, I always see really colorful MINIs, but I wanted to stand out with the clean simple elegance of PW. Even went with PW roof. I'll probably have the wheel arches painted PW eventually.

There. That sounds better.

Still hoping #611 is available. Still awaiting word on transport. Still can't focus on anything else but "WHERE'S MY MINI????"

PWs are the dominant species in our group! This is just a subset from last weekend's meet. Interestingly, the PW owners seem to be among the most active too...
