Glad to be part of the Peerage! I should take possession of my PW/PW by the middle of next month. Put me down for 99.9
Thanks.

I just finished my first year in college (19 years old) and I got my MINI in the middle to end of the first semester...working only a few days per weeks pays for it...trust me you can do it and its wayyyy worth it
Also, I'm scrapped for cash too when it comes to mods, thats why I resort to DIY and some of the cheapest ways to do it like self paint (idk about those arches, but it really could be done if you researched, and if you got the spray paint for minspeed.net)
yeah DIY is always the first thing that comes to my mind. not sure how well the paint will stick to the arches due to all the oil and chemicals on them. but as for college, i am going up to washington and not sure what my parents have planned for the car. if i am lucky we are going to keep it and get rid of the other cars or after my first year and i can actually get a parking spot at college i can get another one.
MINIs will always be my car for life.

Yeah I think the arches would be a big project, but a lot cheaper than paying anyone else. I'd say it would need a good rubber cleaning/degreaser type chemical clean to take anything off....then a mild sand (I actually talked with a shop that did a few local and they said they don't sand it too much because the natural roughness of the trim actually makes the paint stick sooo much easier than smoothing it out)
I think just a good layers of primer, then color, and finally clear should do good, but again this would be a pretty big project IMO....but big projects are really fun and rewarding
Goodluck
yeah i know what you mean. just last week, i installed new springs on my friend's 350z. we had the basic tools so it was a challenge. it took us a good 7 hours because we needed to find spring compressors but it was totally worth it. i really want to try out doing the DIY arches but i need to get more info on it......https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...17#post2213417
So, can I secure #7792??
Here is my most recent picture after I installed the CF door handles from AC.
Also, if anyone is interested in the PW badge in my signature, shoot me a PM. I'm happy to share it & make customized variations if you want.

Alright, I need some help. I'm going to be getting new wheels within the next month probably, and I'm pretty sure that I want the Tenzo-R Type-M. However, I'm stuck on color. So I want to know what everyone thinks of these colors and which you like best. The car is PW/B R56 MCS.
