I ordered my JCW Convertible on 8/25. Got my production number 9.30. Scheduled for production 11.20. Production began 12.2.

Mini support says my car should be completed 12.23. From what I've read it only takes 5-8 days to build, so I'm interested to know why mine is going to take 3 weeks.

hopefully it's done soon. I just want my car :-(

Ordered a F56 JCW on 09/15. Got production# on 10/21, VIN on 11/11. Don't remember when the production actually started but I'm pretty sure it took Mini no more than 6 days to build the car. Car was done on 11/24 and at Southampton port the next day. Vessel departed on 12/04 currently en route to California.
3-week production time seems long, considering that all parts are reserved once VIN is assigned.
You could register on mymini.miniusa.com to track the production progress.

It won't be long now, have you checked in with the dealer to see where it is, they have the name of the ship it is on and you can track it yourself. G, Luck and Happy Holidays.

yeah I’ve been on my garage for a few months now. The site went down yesterday and hasn’t come back online yet. I’m getting very annoyed especially because communication with my MA has been absolutely awful.

Unbelievable. Ordered my F56 JCW end of July and it's still "at port"

I tried calling Mini, but they’re closed for the holiday.

this is so frustrating. I don’t know why my car is taking so long and there’s no detailed information about what’s going on.

I read about people calling the Oxford plant directly with varying degrees of success. But it might shut down for the year already. Your dealer absolutely should help you obtain the production progress info.
My production journey is pretty straight forward and uneventful. Vessel is scheduled to arrive on Sunday. Dealer said I might get it by next week. Can't wait.

I wish I had known about contacting the factory. I was unable to order my Oxford Plus without getting the sunroof
