Just want know how long it takes to build a MINI?? my build date is 27/9. dunno if it's done yet.

My build date was also 27/9 and is on a ship headed for New York. Arrival date is 16/10

 

My build date was also 9/27, car was put on ship Sept 30th and arrived in NY on Wednesday 9th.......nearly here !!!

 

My MCS Chili Red/White top/mirrors, bonnet stripes, 3 package options and 17" white wheels. left Southampton on the 7th. I should get it last week in Oct. or first week in Nov. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard it takes a day to build one but I'm not sure.

BUILD date or PRODUCTION date?

My status page says "Production Date"

I'm not trying to be a picky a-hole, just want to know if you guys are seeing something different than I am.

 

I think it takes a little under a day to make one. They produce 100,000+ a year. That's about 274 a day, 11 an hour. The Oxford plant (MINI plant) website is This . Motor On

 

9/27 production date, currently on the Tellus. Arrives at port in Charleston 10/18, at VPC 10/21, expected delivery date 10/28.

"Building" a MINI is the shortest step in the whole process.

 

i was told by dealer that the build date was 27/9. they didnt say nothing much. they said that they'll call me once the car arrive in Canada.I've called them today, but the salesman wasn't here. so i've to call back on monday to see the status of my car. I wish i could access to Owner'sLounge or 1800-askmini. but.. anyways....
btw, we have many 27/9 MINIs here~~~~ they are all born in the same day.. (maybe urs is just in front of mine..... lol) cheers...
