Hello All. Ask Mini kep saying about a week before production starts (still no vin number ). About how long after this shoul I get her?? Thanks in advance Tim & "Smudge"

 

Production on my car took 3 days, from start to awaiting transport. Then another 3 days to get on a ship. It took about a week or so from that point. But, from what I've read here, it can vary a lot, mostly due to getting on a vessel and getting through the VDC.

 

Check out e.g. "Gestation Period" thread for more experiences. In PA, you're looking at a healthy 3 weeks from build til delivery. Lots of variables though as said. Good luck!

 

Call Ask Mini right away. Mini USA runs behind! Our little tyke was to go into production on 5/20, I called today and the nice fellow said it was scheduled to be complete 5/18. Goes into production TODAY!!!!
WOOHOO. Moved us up to week 19.

Happy dance to ensue forthwith.

 

I ordered 3/9 and picked her up on 5/10. It took a month from when she was built for transport, VDC and getting to my dealer in Minnesota.

Was ASK-MINI actually that vague about your production date or did they give you an actual production week?

I'm puzzled with my status right now. I thought I was going to be in week 20 production but my status from ASK-MINI is still "order accepted at factory" with no production date scheduled. The person I spoke to at ASK-MINI said their information is about the same as what's on the Owners Lounge. Actually, he called it Inner Circle but I'm not sure what that is. How long before production were people given a production date?
