F54, they told me 3 month.
US production must be given preference. In Europe, I hear of 3 to 6 months. It also depends a lot on the model. What did you order? What does your dealer say?

Hello all, also new here. We paid a deposit to special order a Countryman S all 4 Iconic trim on June 14. We were originally told 6-8 weeks by the dealer. Monday will be 8 weeks and the dealer has provided us with no information as to when we can expect delivery or when our order will actually go into production. I have read several posts about dealers providing a production week just after order is placed. We reach out to the dealership every couple of weeks for information. The only responses given are vague estimates on delivery and that as soon as they have information they will let us know. This is our first Mini and we are not sure if this is typical.
Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm wondering how you got a production date. Both factories are closed ( Summer break). Maybe you got a dealer "request production date". But this date is unconfirmed and has nothing to do with the real production time.

A user in a German Mini forums reported that his production date was postponed from July to October. Your dealer can't answer any questions due to the summer break until end of August.

If your car is produced (in this case the dealer has the VIN number already) and not shipped, they reopen the factory 08-23, plus around 14 days for shipping and a week to you dealer. You get the car not before mid / end of September.

Tom, this is what I got from the dealer, maybe I'm interpreting it incorrectly. Thank you
Please re confirm it is correct. No stripes, No moonroof, etc.

The build has been submitted.

Queue is for end of September.

Production # 4871837.

This is the order request confirmation. Now your dealer get a production confirmation within the next week's. And this date can move due to the chip shortage. It's like... if we have all parts we can do it, if not just wait...

Thanks for your information,
I wish the dealer would have been more upfront about a realistic delivery date when we ordered. We were hoping to have our car next week, but if manufacturing is shut down till end of August we won’t have are car till September or October.

Ask your dealer for the production number! They must have it.

HOW CAN I TRACK A MINI THAT I'VE ORDERED?If you've received a VIN or Production Number from your MINI Dealer, you can track the progress of your MINI in the MINI Owners' Lounge. When you first visit the Owners' Lounge, you must create a new account for yourself with your VIN or production number. Once you've set up your account you will have full access to the MINI Production Tracking module.

It just a bad time to order. The still have a massive semiconductors shortage, flood in July and a week earlier summer break due to the shortage. - same situation as all major car manufacturers. Your dealer may not know all the problems that currently exist.

How much was your down payment?

I put $1000 down. I understand they are having difficulty in manufacturing. What I am having trouble with is the lack of communication from the dealer. Since I paid my deposit 8 weeks ago I have heard nothing from the dealer. We call or email every couple weeks and are given no information. Based on other post I have read I am worried that some of the options may be deleted du to the chip shortage. I may just cancel my order then reorder once things have settled down.

All I know is, that the H/K soundsystem is not more available since 1st of July (until the end of the year) and the auto rear door opener for the Clubman.

Call Mini customer support 866-275-6464 Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm ET, Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm ET.and complain about the communication problems with your dealer. Maybe they can help you to find out the status.

I paid $1.000 too ... but never ask about the return policy for the down payment. Do you think you get the money back due to late delivery? Is no countyman available within the US you like?

I may try Mini customer support number to see if I can get some answers.

Countryman inventory is very limited, I did find one that is close to the options I want but it is 2000 miles away. If I go the route of canceling my order I let you know how it goes.

Keep in mind - Google Maps reviews are a powerful tool for you!!! Even they have a lot of 4/5 stars, 1 star review is always a big negative rating if you explain why it is so.

I finally was able to create an account of the mini lounge garage, I won't be able to know anything until the car is on the line, FYI, if this helps, I just 2 weeks ago shipped a Porsche that I sold to a Dealer in CA. there's company called 8 brothers shipping in Jacksonville, they have enclosed trailer, new rigs and only transport cars FL to CA. was $1600.00

So... don't call your dealer for updates ... he has the same information as you have now.
