On my way to the dealer this morning at 6:20 AM; dealer is about an hour and a half drive away... Was looking forward to my nice morning drive.

...I was not even more than 4 miles from my house, and a deer literally leaped out of the cornfield to my right landing at my right fender and rolling down the side and over my MINI

I hadn't even made my second payment yet... Waiting for the insurance company to open at 9:00 to call them

I don't know....all things considered it looks like everyone safe and that she took it like a champ!

 

Yep, and the side scuttle Literally, leaped out the cornfield and hit and rolled my right side. Didn't even hit the front!

...Had I had it in Sport mode, and was a second faster, it would have landed behind me! D***'t, why wasn't I using my MINI to its potential

Yes, I can only laugh now...

 

A little hair of the deer that hit you Not too bad, that's what you have insurance for and it could have been much worse.

 

Leave the hair for the adjuster to see; that was the state trooper's advice when my son encountered a big buck in our Integra years ago. It helps the validity of you claim. Good luck...

 

Thanks, was going to leave in and too took these pics to be safe... I too waited and had the county Sheriff's Dept come out and do a Police Report too...

I know it just material, but it still stings nonetheless. This was my first Mini, and second european vehicle.

...The "irony"; well, I had this MINI less than two months and this Deer attacks me . My first european, a BMW 3 series, I had for less than two months and a lady slid out of control into me...

 

mini took it like a champ. Let me guess, the deer wasn't even fazed and ran off?
