Driving mode selector feels sticky

My driving mode selector feels somewhat sticky when switching to the left, or toward sport. Sometimes when I get to sport, the switch doesn't want to snap back to center. Anyone else experience this?

Same happens to me, especially during warmer temps.

The 2014 F56 I drove did not stick that much.

But it wasn't exactly smooth? I wonder how to fix it. Dealer suggested using a TINY amount of all purpose cleaner, then blowing out with compressed air.
