I wonder if you wash it then dry it on high heat if it will shrink into a MINI hardtop.

Thanks, Greg. Even if that was a charity "LOL"... thanks.

I promise, I'll offer up some better comedy as the thread ages.

I can confirm the Clubman does not shrink after washing & then drying in high heat. It does however, take about 30-45 mins longer to complete the wash/dry/wax cycle when compared to a MINI hardtop.

Yeah.... when I wash our MINIs, I like to do the Countryman first. Makes doing the hardtops seem soooooo much easier and quicker. Even more than it is, which is a lot.

Hey, Gotters... something odd happened this evening as I started up my JCW for the commute home.

Started it up, had the car in first gear with the clutch all the way to the floor as I adjusted the temp on my auto climate control. Couldn't have been more than two seconds after I started the car up, it made a sudden, short lunge forward, probably about a foot or less. WTH was up with that ?! If I had been parked really close to someone, I would have hit them. Of if a pedestrian had been walking right past the car... yikes! Not to mention it's just a bit unnerving that something is wrong with the transmission or something.

Didn't know this was thread needed to be kept in a cool dark place with humidity controls and the like.

Yeah. I have nearly a 700,000 miles of driving a manual transmission behind me and never experienced that. I know my left foot didn't come up, especially enough to engage the clutch. And it happened so fast, and stopped itself that I didn't even have time to hit the brake.

Of course, where I park at work.... wayyyyy out far away from other cars and the trees (bird crap areas), I had no worries... this time.

If it does it again, he's making a trip to the dealership.

On a good note, my POPS are coming pretty regularly now in sport mode.

hmmmm... I'd better hold off a month or so. Just got an estimate on a home repair and that has priority right now.

But I bet there's enough people ready to go to do one now.

BTW... i turned about a half dozen heads in the parking lot at work this morning. Or should I say Vincent did... with the POPs and BURBLES. He's popping like a container of Jiffy Pop on a hot stove these days.

BTW, Greg... anything new on your JCW that you haven't shared with us yet ? The DRLs and rear sway bar your last mods ?
