Saw the first fellow motorist in weeks today in my little town of 12k people. My heart was absolutely racing and we waved at each other. I don't think I'm ever not going to be excited when I see another MINI. I always wave like an absolute idiot. lol

Any wave is a good wave so, save the wave! Such words of wisdom before the morning coffee. (lol)

Happy Motoring!

Saw several MINi's yesterday while running around the Olympia, WA area. Got a couple waves back but, seemed most of the folks were busy paying attention to driving and not scanning the area for other MINI's like I do. One girl paced me a couple of car lengths back for quite a ways. Thought sure there'd be a crazy wave when she finally passed me but, she stared straight ahead as she went by. Maybe she has been waved at by other Miniacs and is scared to look at them now because she doesn't know about The Wave and can't figure out what is wrong with us.

Heading to Westport in awhile....even if I don't get any waves, it will be a great twisty drive so YAY!

Jacquesew, Twisty roads may not make it possible for you to wave however, I am a firm believer flashing the headlights once or twice is an acceptable alternative!

Happy and safe Motoring!

The Olympia WA area has been overwhelmed with MINIs, the last few days.

Unfortunately, I've been building a deck at my daughter's house and I have the only truck in the family so I have been transporting building materials.

A few times, I forgot what I was driving and waved at the MINIs.

If you are from Olympia, and a guy in a white Ford F350 waved at you, you now know why!

Dave

Haha! Now I'll be watching for big white Ford trucks too! I drove our Tundra the other day and waved like a nut at someone in a Mini...forgot I wasn't driving Oliver. They just looked surprised like they maybe should have known who was waving but couldn't figure it out. Made me laugh. Glad its not just me..... :-)

does the "hawaiin friendship wave" count?? jk if I am paying attention, I wave sometimes get waves back sometimes dont. Figured folks just arent paying attention or just arent educated in MINI culture. Its all good - try not to let other folks influence actions. ALWAYS lots of waves on rallies.

I knew to mini motoring and to all the cute wave thingy. I swear it makes my day when other mini drivers wave at me. Ill try to wave every time i see a mini driver even though they don't wave back. Keep the motoring spirit HIGHHHHHHHH and don't let it diminish people for the love of your MINIs

They say; Home Is Where the Heart Is, if this is true then, inside the heart of every Mini Owner revs the Motoring Spirit yerning to get out. It should not be unususal to wave at a passing Mini's because it is as natural as breathing. As every Mini driver knows, a Cooper is one of the very few vehicles capable of brething life into our motoring soul. That being said, wave on sisters and brothers, wave on.

I love this. Once MINIs are in your blood, they're there to stay! I'm wondering now if I'll do the same thing the next time I drive something other than Tux. Thanks for sharing.

My best wave ever was from a non-MINI driver, in a huge dump truck who gave me the thumbs up and urged me to honk my horn (you know, that "pull the chain" gesture, I don't know what to call it). Of course, I obliged, that was awesome. He must also drive a MINI.

Well, crud! I've been driving my truck around town all week and I've seen dozens of MINIs, everyday.

Today, I drove my MINI and didn't see one other MINI!

I had the sun roof open and everything! Just waiting to give another MINI a sunroof wave.

Where'd they all go!?

Dave

That's weird, Dave....they have been out in droves lately. Oliver's been stuck in the garage all day because I realized it's the last day of my vacation and I have a ton of things to finish. Maybe all those other MINI driver's called in "sick" today and are laying low so they don't get caught. I bet there will be some out this evening.....

I feel the same way, I usually daily ride my bike for work. But since I've been on vacation I drive my MINI and see one every once in a while.

I give a wave to every oncoming MINI I see on the road. I think MINI motorists in SF are numb to each other due to a huge population driving them. I can't go a couple blocks without seeing another one.

Gave a thumb's up and a honk to a very nice and clean Laurel Edition this AM. Haven't seen one of these here in SoCal. I'd love to have one! 👍

Someone has one driving around Burbank. Universal MINI has one for sale right now too. I'm here getting my brake pads replaced and am checking it out.

As I was driving back from the gym last week with my CROC 687, I saw a blue Countryman driving in the opposite direction. I was contemplating whether or not to wave. Before I made up my mind to wave, he gave me a big thumbs up. I gave a BIG wave back.... Just made my day!

I was 2 for 3 yesterday. I waved at one as I drove thru an intersection and wasnt sure if she saw my wave, but I didnt see a return. The second gave me a full arm out the window(my first full arm wave in 5 years of MINI motoring) The third was a simultaneous two-finger salute resulting in a big grin .
