Do Mini people still wave at each other??
Motoring Badge?
If I see a MINI driving in front of my I try to catch up. Caught up to a Red justa today (twice even) and he seemed oblivious that I was there. Oh well, there is always tomorrow!
A new MINI dealer is coming to my town so hopefully that will mean more people to wave to (and a MUCH closer dealer for me)!

I actually was a bug creeper today. On my way to work, I crept up to a MINI at a light and gave the creepiest, most excited wave and grin. I got a wave back. Then on my way home, there was a cabrio at the gas station so I purposely pulled up behind him, despite literally 6 open gas pumps. And waved like a creep. It made ME happy hahaha.
I wonder, are the people who aren't getting waves waving from inside their cars? Tinted windows and glare can obscure a friendly wave.
Whenever I can, I wave through the sunroof or the window I get the most return waves that way. Flashing the headlights is good too!

Early purchasers were the most dedicated to the MINI mystique. Now that the MINI has been "dumbed down" for a wider appeal there are more people driving them that have no idea about the history of the brand.
In spite of this I still wave or flash my lights. Most people remain oblivious.

When I had my MINI, I lived in the Cincinnati area. Almost every MINI I passed, we waved at each other. I miss that! No one waves at me in my Kia...lol
On a side note, I stopped by the grocery store after work one day. A MINI was parked close to the front of the store with a few spots open by it. I parked right next to it. When I came out, there was a third MINI parked next to both of us! I loved it and wish I would have gotten a picture. I really do believe most MINI owners are a different breed...and I love them!! They are just like me!

I do need to get back into one! I just moved to Colorado from the midwest, so I want to see how the winter is here. Then, I have to decide between MC, MCS, and the Countryman. I figure by spring I will have my mind made up and decide which one I want to get!
I saw 2-3 other MINIs today. Waved to a couple on the interstate and got nothing, I think. Sometimes it's hard to tell if someone is waving back to you on the interstate. But this just gets me. In town, stopped at a red light, I was right next to my polar opposite, a black MINI with white roof and mirrors. The driver refused to look at me. He looked straight ahead or in the opposite direction. As the light turned green, I thought "maybe if I get a little in front of him" but watching in the mirror, nothing. I almost decided to run him off the road, but my turn was coming up, so I let him have his day. The whole time, I was thinking "this is going to the forum." On the plus side, I had a fun time at Little Rocktoberfest and actually had some good brotherly bonding, for the first time, like, ever. I'm 34 and my brother is 30. This was seriously the first time we ever really talked. Thank you beer, for making this possible.
Waved to 2 minis on my way to school the other day, nothing back. Then on my way home I was at a red light, first in line. I could see the headlight of a new countryman sitting second in line across the intersection in the left turn lane. He got the green, I started waving just before he could see me and he HAD to have seen me sitting there because I saw his hand up waving from around the car in front of him before I saw his face. Made me feel pretty good on drive home Friday!

Motored around rural Manassas, VA areas today and saw four MINIs. I waved to 3 and flashed my lights at the other. Got two waves back! I'll take that! Then took a wrong turn on the way back.. wound up on a ridiculously FUN winding road by accident. Ran it 3 times! Marked on GPS for future reference. Saw 2 more MINIs on it and both flashed their lights! Great day, great ending road, great waves! Is it a faux pas to reveal a road for local considerations??
I was so happy with the first wave I got! Hopefully you'll still wave back!
When I'm in the city I don't even bother trying to wave anymore. There is just too many and nobody waves back. But when I venture out into the country and happen to see one I do wave and usually get a wave back. They're probably someone from the city themselves thinking, "These country people are so friendly"....lol
