I am giving up the wave unless I know the person. No one ever waves so I don't like them anymore(not that I liked them in the first place).

So...I test drive an ALL4 and get a wave. I finally get my own, see 4 mini's today and not a single wave in return. What a bummer!!!

Imagine my surprise yesterday when I drove into the SB drive-up and in the parking lot was Molly's Sister, she was an O2Blue with a White Roof, White Bonnet Stripes, and the same License Plate Frame!! Once we left the drive-up they pulled out of the parking lot and needed to merge into traffic...Molly was nice enough to let them in...then there were 2 identical MINIs, one in front of the other!! I couldn't help but and WAVE!!

I wave all the time

We are on a road trip from Ga back to Texas my arm is tired I have waved so much. I havent gotten alot in return but I am still going to wave. So if I see ya you better get your wave on. By the way I saw two MINI's on the tail of the dragon I didnt get a wave out of them but that's ok we all had our hands on the wheel the whole time.

I just figure the people I wave to are either concentrating on their driving or thinking of something else. I'll keep waving to other MINIs because it is a friendly thing to do. It's great if they waive back and no problem if they don't. Heck, we're having a good time driving a MINI.

This is the way I feel, although deep down a little piece of me hurts when the love isn't returned

Reviving an aging thread here, but I'm happy to say I received and returned a wave just the other day, from one of my fellow PW/B drivers. Rock on, Peerage!

I've been waving to every other MINI driver around these parts. I basically live in the middle of nowhere but just happened to drive past another MINI driver and he actually beat me to the wave . Was driving in town and saw a MINI with the phrase "pooper scooper" on the fender... i was all like

I got a wave from another Mini last week, he was waiting on me to get up next to him and as soon as I went to pass, he turned and waved.

Had a Cooper S Clubman pull up next to me at a light the other day. I turned and waved, he did likewise.

It's pretty dead in SoCal. I run in to enthusiast here and there that will wave first or reciprocate. Most of the MINI's I see on a daily basis are justas with middle aged women driving that have no particular love for or interest in it's history. I think some one else hit it on the head that the MINI has just far out grown the niche market that originally bought them. For most now it's just like owning any other car.

I am still on the wavy wagon, and will continue to be.

I got 3 today, SHOCKING, and I have certainly noticed that those with personalized plates, are more attentive and responsive to the wave.

I will wave 'til I hit the grave. lol.

To the British Racing Green Mini in VA with plate "GQS", thanks for the wave. I caught it and waved back but my tint might have hid it.

second one I've got since I got my Cubbie.

I agree also with the personal plates...both waves were from those. More pride in the car I assume?~~

I waved at a Black Clubby this AM. Hopefully he saw it, his windows were tinted. I need to get mine done too!

I still wave or at least flash the brights if I spot 'em in time and have a hand free. Traffic can get busy here in Hell's Forge, AZ, and I'm driving a stick-shift, so sometimes I don't have a hand free.

So far, I've had pretty decent wave-back results. Some folks are dialed-out and not paying attention, but far less, percentage-wise, than in the general non-MINI-driving populace....

C ya,
Dutch

I always wave at other Minis on the road! Sometimes they'll wave in response, but usually I get a deer-in-the-headlights look.

Save the wave!

Rarely pass a MINI in my area. Passed 2 today, smiled and waved....nada...

This was the exception to the rule, however, I usually get them back with a smile or a flash of lights!

Failed waves

Dunno where they are all coming from, but last week or so have seen more than a dozen...Almost all have waved till this morning. Waved at three..flashed lights...got within eyeshot..NADA, just puzzeled looks and tilted heads...NO friendly...THEN it ocured to me I was in my wife's GMC Envoy

NO SNICKERING!! Wait till you are older than dirt.
