The tiles look great. What brand did you use?

Wash

Washed it, then ran a clay bar over to get the embedded dirt out then I waxed it and refreshed the trim around the wheels and along the bottom.

Changed my oil today. I use liqui molly. Man I tell you what. There oil rocks. I put 8,000 miles on it. Checking periodically for level an overall look. At 8k it still looked brand new. Not a drop of use. When I first purchased my mine it was using oil like crazy. So when I was at MOTD2019 I meet a rep from liqui moly. Told me about all the addatives they offer an oil blends. I told him my issues. So he recomend me try these products.
Engine flush
Ceratec
Motor oil saver
5w40 they offer.
I have not used a drop of oil since it did what he recommended. My tail pipe no longer has a black residue on it. Temp stay at about 198.
Could not be happier with this product. An yes I paid for all my stuff. Get it from Amazon.

I just looked up these products, as the Liqui-Moly products were recently on my radar. I certainly appreciate the review concerning the oil consumption. I've been considering an engine flush and refresh, and I might give those products a try at my next oil change.

This morning, I cut off my S mufflers and installed a set of JCW mufflers. Took me all of 15 minutes, including driving the back end on and off the ramps. I like the way they look, but haven't had a chance to drive the car yet to see how the sounds has changed. (if at all)

I really need to start a build thread....

After you do the flush. I added ceratec oil addative. When you first add it. It will freak you out. It looks like oil water milk shake. It freaked me out. I then added the motor oil saver. An finally added oil. You will not use all the oil since you added the addatives. Like I said when you check your oil level for the first time. Do not freak ou . Your oil will look like there is water in it. After about 500 miles the ceratec will throughly mix with oil. I'm adding ceratec again on my next change. Amazon had the best price on all the products.

Brake fluid flush (every 2 years) with
Motul 5.1. Low viscosity and higher
WBP than Pentosin LV or ATE SL.6.
Flushed the ABS with a scan tool, too.

I want to do this as well, but I’m scared that my purring baby won’t be purring afterwards and I’ll be one of the ones with a spun rod bearing or something stupid. 1400 miles to decide.

I put 25k on my mini using this . Not a single issue.
Like I stated . I will treat engine again with ceratec on my next oil change. Recommend every 25k.

I’m 1400 from 150,000 so it might be a good time.

When I left from Panama city beach Florida to The Dragon last year. I burned 2 quarts of Mobil 1. Then another quart while I was there. Then 2 quarts driving back. Did all the recommend stuff the rep said. I have not burned a drop since. Oil looks new everytime I check it.

Burning a qt on the dragon isn’t too hard to do, my fix the last time was ac full blast, boom just a 1/4 qt burned, but this was also forth of July and it was sweaty ***** hot down there. You definitely have my wheels turning on this, as much as I loved being cool during the day, at night it was too cold, for me and my driver’s side window was just tinted on the 3rd so no window down or door opening for 3 days. Thanks for the help.

I have upcoming stuff to do. I have a 2011 Cooper S with 82,000 miles. LCA bushings are in rough shape. So I ordered new loaded Lower control arms with new ball joints already installed. The new LCA came with the bushing mounts so I'm taking those to work and pressing out the factory bushing and replacing it with Powerflex bushings along with sway bar bushings. I also have a catch can to install.

After the quick wax this morning, it was what did you do to a mini van (mother in laws ramp van)

730 am and looking so clean

Doesn’t look like she was out driving around at 430 am

How they started

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4 and a bath
It might look a little cloud on passenger side, moisture on inside.

Nice job on the headlights. Ever since manufacturers when to plastic headlights, that is the one item that ages cars the quickest. Keeping them looking like new keeps the car looking new.

People always ask what year the Mini is and after I tell them its an '05, they are shocked.

Good job.

Funny enough the van is an 05 as well, and thank you. My wife and brother in law where talking about replacing them, 30 bucks and a few hours later, money saved.

A few days late...

but since we've lost MTTS this year, I thought taking the July sunrise drive up Mt. Washington would be at least a little bit motoring... Mini On Top

I changed my oil on Friday (a little more than 5k miles). My plan is to do in between oil changes. That was thrown off yesterday when I saw that my MINI popped up a message that I should schedule an oil change in August (or after 4200 miles). If only that notification came up one day earlier. I figure I'll drive around and then get my free oil change late August. If I don't use it, it goes to waste. I guess I'll just consider that I'm pampering her =P

Yesterday, I also added a WMW short shifter adapter and retaining clip. Everything went well (combined a few set of instructions), although I'm not sure if something is a little off. The bottom of the shifter/shifting cable rubs slightly against the carpet now. Is that normal or do I need to adjust the length somehow (I thought I put the adapter all the way in)? Shifting feels fine but I don't want to damage anything.

I also wanted to rotate my tires, but it's a) way too hot/humid today and b) I'm not sure the best way to get it up on ramps.
