Changed the hpfp. I know it's covered under the extended warranty but the closest dealer is four hours away. If you add up taking time off work, getting a hotel and paying for gas it was cheaper to buy one and install it in my garage in an hour.
I bled the brakes today using the Motiv bleeder system that screws onto your master cylinder.
I like it! Works well with no complaints. Oddly enough, my brake pedal is solid/confident now instead of having that soft feel to it when hitting the brakes. Haven’t had that in a while.
My MINi started having a real bad rattle coming from the rear end on rough streets. I found that the brake pads came un-clipped from the pistons. I'm not sure how that happens.I'm thinking the guides are shot which is allowing the caliper to rock them off. I can move them a little bit with a screwdriver.
The crazy part is MINI thinks these things are worth gold. $30 a side plus $8 for the anti rattle clip.
Nothing big but least it's some wrench time. 4k oil change and swapped out the test Brisk plugs with the NGK 95770 Laser Iridiums (updated stock plugs). Swapped out the stock oil plug for a magnetic one just in case.
Got my radiator, radiator support, front bumper reinforcement bar, and driver's fender liner replaced! Looks like a brand new car with the bumper off. All was going great until I started bleeding the air out of the cooling system and the crank pulley decided it was a great time to kick the bucket. Just means I'm driving down to WMW in Atlanta on Friday and picking up a PRW crank pulley! But seriously, gremlins, knock it off. My bank account is on life support due to this car.
"SEB" got his end of summer detail showing off his new 17" MSW Type 85 Matte Gunmetal alloys and 205-45-17 Continental Extreme DW tires along with BlackJack scuttles and "Dobbelsteen" roll bar windbreakers.
Soon to order his winter "shoes"....likely Nokian Hak R2 or perhaps studded Hak 8's for my o.e. wheels....comments?
Did you trade for an S or change a bunch of stuff out?
Traded my 2011 Justa for a new S. Still working on a few things like stripes, Sirius, and Mini GPS to get installed this week. (OK, stripes at a later date.)
Check engine and ESC light came on again when I was driving to the airport. Made it where I was going but I think its time to bring it to the stealership and have them check it out haha.

Great product and turn it into a one person job. No more " help me pump the brakes " .
Blacked out most of the beltline.. got the front to finish up.
Coming soon:
- R56 MCS front brake upgrade. Just need to paint and install
- steel braided lines
Looks really cool! I just looked at their site and have to say their R53 wings look a lot better than their R56 wings. Looks like I will wait for WMW to start production of their wing extensions.
