Thanks!!! They are from Effect Wheels and are Model, Sengen. They weigh 18#, Stock weigh 25#....Nice reduction in rotating, unsprung mass. I got them from Lotofwheel on E-Bay for $384.00 shipped.

They push the wheels out slightly because they are 7.5" wide, 1/4 inch each way. (17" x 7.5")
Thank again for the compliment!!

I looked at it in the garage & realized that I haven't used it in almost a month. I need to find a hood scoop!

Finished up my brake caliber painting project took a while but it was worth it. worst part was taping/cleaning them. 5 hours in prepwork alone.I used self etching primer, 2 part high heat paint and high heat clear coat and used a preval for the paint and clear, worked great and beats the hell out of dealing with cleaning paint equipment/ air compressors

sorry for the poor picture quality, it was snowing out and i didnt want to get my nice camera out. ill have better ones as soon as she gets cleaned up again. I havent even had her a month

the brake calibers are all you really see when the car is moving, its pretty cool

Easy install; I'd say the whole job is less than 30 minutes from start to finish.

I have two minor issues with Craven's install instructions:
  • They call for a 1/2" socket to remove the OE nuts, and it really is 13 mm
  • They suggest that you use a torque wrench to remove those same factory nuts, and I was taught that using a torque wrench for anything other than torquing fasteners is a no-no.
Beyond that, the instructions are well-written. The important step is starting the hole closest to the firewall first: It's pretty tight in that area, and if you do one of the other holes first you won't be able to get that rear one. I removed the rubber gasket temporarily for a little more clearance. The pix below show:
  1. Before
  2. OE nuts removed, Craven adapters installed
  3. Finished install

Thawed out my frozen wiper fluid with a fish tank heater after several days in the single digit temps. Also managed to make it up the driveway going forward(with chains) instead of backing up the entire driveway like I've been doing the past week

Jeez, Oxy. I'm cold just looking at that pic... I think I'd rather leave the MINI in the garage and go have fun in the Jeep!

Charlie Victor, thanks for the info. I'll be putting them on as soon as it gets warmer and drier. By the by, my CR MCS is only 3 days older than yours. You got to pick yours up two days earlier. Oh... that guy, ZZ, you mentioned last name was Bross. At SAV he went by DB, the NF (no friends), then XX, then ZZ. He once threatened to use a shotgun on a sup and his wife and it somehow actually made the newspaper here...
