Brought my car to the body shop for some repainting because some punk in a parking lot decided to vandalize the whole passenger side and keyed it from the side scuttles all the way to the rear quarter panel. Suppose to get it back in 4 days..we'll see.

My upgrade to my Mini today is a 2nd new windshield after a tractor trailer released a huge section of ice that took out my windshield and both my wiper blades yesterday. Saw it coming, weighed out all the options, and the glass seemed like the best option. Sucked!

I'll keep you posted on how it goes and durability (as I know that is one of your concerns). The brackets look pretty solid, and mounted in a way that I believe would be hard to bend.i only drove the car this morning to work, and it seems I experience less "shaking" or vibration. But I will really need to drive it little more

He did the same tint level as me... Here's MINE for another example of 35%. I have the MINI sunscreens in the rear windows which makes them look darker.

Battery reset tool

Waiting on my OTC Battery reset tool to get here.

Battery died so Ginger is stuck in limp mode. Called the dealer and they wanted $86 to reset it and I found the tool for $150. Since the chanes are pretty high that I will do something to drain the battery again and I will have to eventualy replace the battery, it didnt make since to keep paying a dealer $86 every time it happened.

(It figures that I would haev a dead battery. I havent been able to drive Ginger since before Christmas because of a broken exhaust. I finally got the Megan header mated uip with the Borla cat-back just to find that the car wsa in limp mode so I had no power steering. Sure cant wait to get home and go for a real drive... dont tell my truck I said that ... this evening).

Thanks. Was your engine mount itself broken or leaking? Or were you just adding this a preventative measure? My engine mount is busted and leaking since I was hit last week in the front end...

Which mount is leaking for you? I replaced lower engine mount about three months ago, but I got a good deal on used damper, so was no-brainier to me. I drove some more tonight. i know it's purely subjective, but I do believe damper does smooth-out some overall vibration. I think it's a relatively cheap mode that is worth it (pending the bracket issues)

Passenger side, upper mount is leaking. I don't know if the lower is bad now too or not but so far I see the hydrolic fluid from the upper leaking onto the frame. Scared me a little bit. I am just trying to figure out what my best option is aftermarket vs. stock mount??

I might be tempted to trade my black for your silver. I am one of those people who like the contrast. Although it is nice to have the black from brake dust.

I am going to dip my rims also and then decide.

Looks awesome, I really like that color. Did you go through insurance or out of pocket?

I put an "S" badge in the right side of my upper grill. From outmotoring.com
Looks good, kind of pricy at $30 but I like it. Took some flat black paint to the huge inner washer thingy. Looks similar to a 2015 MCS.

Bought a pair of Phillips led 6418 for the license plate. Was all excited, turns out they're 1 mm too short. :/
