What did you do to your mini today?
They look good! Metal caps like to weld themselves onto the MINI's TPMS valve stems, you might consider putting some anti-seize on the threads.

Thanks! Any recommended brand?
Any brand is good, the nickle based ones are silver in color and the copper based ones are, well, copper colored.
The ones I have used are Bostik Never-seez and Loctite C5A.
I like the ones that come in a can with an applicator brush. One can will probably last you forever.

Changed the battery in my 2012 S this week. Went from no symptoms to dead overnight. Luckily it was at home not some dark, cold parking stall somewhere. So if your battery is nearing the 3 year mark, just change it! :-)
Had to change the antenna base (and antenna!) on my 05.
What a pain in the @ss... All because I forgot to take it off before I went in the car wash.
Still, I did it myself and saved $300the dealer wants to change it.
22mm socket wrench and a whole slew of swearing... I have a new antenna base (and antenn) aand some really nice looking red, sore hands!!

Today was a GOOD day!
Today I started "project chili red, and blackout" started with the gas door just to see how it come out and I was very impressed with plasti-dip. Next will be side scuttles, mirror caps, and handles. Not sure if I want to plasti-dip the handles though
Also installed the aux connector for the stock radio, after I pulled the wiring harness I realized I had forgot I had NAV stock, after scratching my head for an hour or so I found a post done by GreatBear .. THANK GOD FOR NAM, and all the information on here! Rewired the NAV and Aux together and installed the cable SWEET!

Don't bother... It will wear off too easily. I found a set of matte black handle covers that should be a close match to the plastidip look on Outmotoring. Unfortunately, they are out of stock at the moment. I contacted the site and they say that they will get more in stock in a few weeks.

BTW The site is www.outmotoring.com good stuff!
well in October I sold my clubman, extended warranty was running out and I was afraid that I was sitting on a ticking time bomb. So I sold her and bought myself a civic si. Well I have been missing my MINI ever since, so last night I bought myself a 04 cooper S. Bought it from a MINI mechanic and its in great shape. Bring her tomorrow night. I'll park her for the winter and drive the civic until the snow clears.
I'll get pictures of her up as soon as I can

Trying once again to get a new Megan header to fit. Poor design in the downpipe arent making it easy but I am determined to get it in. Thanks to the cat from the broken Magnaflow system that I am replacing, a little Mig welder, and a whole lot of desire, my girl may be back on the road in a couple of days. (I love driving my truck but miss the feel of the road I get while driving my Mini).
Sorry... I had posted that with my phone. Here's the link to the parts.

Dipped my wheels today! They are the R112s. Just really liked the black look. And yes I know there are black versions of my silver, but unless anyone wants to straight trade me their blacks for my silvers, I'll stick with the dip 😛.
Lower the steering wheel
Here's a simple "mod" - lower the steering wheel. Costs nothing, takes a second. (Find the lever on the left side of the steering column - not the turn signal, but farther down -- loosen it, pull the steering wheel down, tighten the lever -- while stopped, of course.) Maybe mine was up too high before, but somehow putting the steering wheel down to about an inch above my lap makes the car seem more "go-kart" like.
