I had my windows tinted today to the legal limit for South Carolina. Tough to make out in the pictures. Hope it helps relieve the heat inside my girl.

The Ohlins have arrived! Now, I'm just waiting on the Vorschlag camber plates. Soon this project, which started last February, will be done….

Not today but Sat. And Sun. did our first autocross. Just for kicks(not a competition) at the Portland Historics Races you can pay $5 a run. FUN!

Hey,

Just installed (yesterday) a new belt tensioner pulley, alternator and polyurethane lower control arm bushings on my 2005 Mini Cooper S. While my Purple beauty was in a disassembled state, my mechanic said, "Let's replace the oil seals and, oh, by the way, you need a new upper motor mount." So, I bought a TSW mount and had that installed as well.

The car is up and running and feels better at 121,000 miles than it has since new. The tougher control arm bushings and TSW motor mount have definitely enhanced the feel of the car. I use a stock lower motor mount (replaced at the beginning of the year) with the TSW upper and I haven't experienced any vibration at all. However, the "direct connection" feel between the accelerator and the engine is terrific.

Perhaps the best thing was the replacement of the belt tensioner pulley. The old one was making so much racket that it was spoiling my driving experience and frightening small children as I drove by!

All in all, an expensive, but beneficial day of Mini repair and enhancement.

ECSTuning, I uploaded a few photos to my gallery. It was a bright sunny day today so maybe not the best for certain pics.

Yeah I guess I could have lined them up with the door line. Didn't even think about that.

JD. Did you make a generic bent pipe or a specific product muffler delete? How loud is it on the highway?

Over the past two days: Installed puddle lights (with the circle), changed out my chirping friction pulley, washed, clay barred and waxed my 08 mcs in prep for MTTS. tried to rotate the tires and change the oil but energy level was too low. lol

She was detailed like a show car. Wheels were removed and are clean as day it was made. It's been inside because of a threat of one drop of rain.

Can you imagine something preventing you from driving your Mini?

Don't worry she's coming out!!!
