Just got back from having a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires installed at my local shop. Need to mention that Tire Rack was extremely helpful in the selection/ordering process......

Finally installed my used, refinished (powdercoated high gloss black) R94 Bridge Spoke 16's with new Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S tires. Pretty remarkable upgrade from my stock 15" narrow tires.

Shout out to Discount Tire Direct.....they were only $330 shipped after rebate!

Was that an optional accessory for the R53's? I'd love to have something like that on my R56!

I'd do it if it wasn't so darn expensive for just a very few HP gain, I mean really 8 hp! That isn't much for $2,600. At that point it doesn't make a lot of sense not to go for the JCW to start with.

It's not. It's a custom install, the part came from a Nissan sentra for $5 from the junk yard.

I took my R52 out for an Irish Cream run, took the 100 mile route to the store that 30 miles away. Then drove the long way home... That reminds me I need to stop for fuel.

Motor on!

Went to install my rear Koni shocks and found the upper spring perch has a crack and the bump stop fit for a garbage can. The parts are cheap from MINI which is a good thing.

The shock on that side is beyond blown it's frozen.

Just installed a full set of Koni FSD shocks, all new spring cups, bump strops and strut mounts, PowerFlex LCA and trailing arm bushings and new Yokohama S-Drives in my 2005 R53.....

Holy Cow what a difference! At 65K miles the OEM struts were awfully tired and one LCA bushing torn. The ride and handling are superb, I have to say the Koni FSD is everything I've heard, even on the bumpies the car is just a delight, and much easier on the spine!

Great fun!

great MINI roads around Chico

Oh yes indeed...Chico is still just a great town, and up here in the hills where I live there's lots of twisty roads just made for us.

Highway 32 up to Hwy 89 and then over to Hwy 70 and up Clark Road will really get your blood pumping as long as you can dodge the dreaded shoals of Buicks and RV's.Going to blast over to Reno on 70 next month for the Air Races...the drive over the mountain and back is the best part.

Gave him a bath today.

Ordered a new passenger side engine mount, torx bolt and new lower engine mount.

Next weekend should be fun. Two mounts and an oil change.

Oh Yeah! We did that too. Son's 18th birthday Saturday, so let him take the wheel and put the hammer down for an hour...just to cruise, no ice cream!
