I brought my 2003 MC in to swap the failing Midlands for a Getrag 6-speed plus a
Quaife LSD, and a Milltek header. While it's in, also doing the water pump as it's
getting old (11+ years), and the rear brake pads along with Tyrol caliper pin bushings.

The parts (lots of them!) took over a week to round up, and the tech that specializes
in MINIs is off until later this coming week, so it may take a while to get it all done.

Wish me and Bliksem good luck with the endeavor!

Upgraded to jcw exhaust with deleted resonator and 2nd cat removed. Sounds awesome!

Spent a good hour masking off and Plasti dipping my headlight rings black, then dissatisfied with the results I ripped it off and did the gas cap.

I flushed the coolant and made a mess. I only ran about 6 gallons of distilled water though her bowels before filling her back up with MINI coolant 50/50.

A little tip on the R53 pull the oil cooler hose off also when draining.

I noticed after replacing my bypass valve that my MPG shot up by 4. The car also has a lot more crackle and pop. I have yet to reset the ECU.

Very nice - we have twin pure silver Minis with bike racks! (Rare to see another PS with the matching roof and bike racks.)

Rockeymounts look nice on the black roof w/silver.

Reds match the JCW Red / Chili Red almost perfect. we have them here with free ship and many different colors to change things up or to match your MINI.

Nice set up.

For two remote keys and a standard key It should come out to about $500 or so I will still have to pay the labor to have them programmed that cost is unknown. They figure an hour.

I'm in the same boat I only have one key and if I lost that I'm going to be boned bender style. I just want to get this out of the way.

That's the worst way to be boned.
