With that kind of company at least your chances of getting you door dinged is less.

Got me some Koni FSD's for my birthday!

Happy happy, joy, joy...

Going to re-build my suspension, bought a set of FSD's , new LCA bushings and strut mounts, bump stops etc; Can't wait to get it done.Put in a Dinan strut tower brace and a few other bits and pieces while I'm at it.

Georgette, my '05 R53 has been getting ever so slightly less precise handling wise over the last year so it's time to get in there and renew all the wearables.
Coming up on 65K miles so I can't complein.

Then it will be the tire hunt...the Yokohama S Drives have been great, may stick with them or perhaps try something else.

Good day today! 72,400 miles on the ticker.

Installed:
Hotchkis Competition 25mm Rear Sway Bar
Alta Performance Rear Sway End Links
MINI Cabrio Struts
Helix 13 Short Shifter

Man, I tell you what! I set the RSB on mid-range and OMG it is so twitchy compared to the stock RSB. I am excited to see how it performs at AutoCross tomorrow. I may just have to move it to low.

And the short shifter - it was a PITA doing it but I am very happy with the significantly shorter throw.

Came to realize that before I toss that old intake tube in the trash I better save both red clips.

Installed my CravenSpeed smart phone mount and replaced the broken factory oil dip stick with a Craven unit.

Both pieces were beyond my expectation as far as quality.

Now I sit and wait for my driver's side Euro parcel shelf and passenger side parcel shelf to get here so I can get my interior more in-line with my plans!

After much hemming/hawing/working up the courage to disassemble the front end of my MINI, finally got my Hella driving lights installed. Glad to have good help, my wife Stacy is also a gear head and fairly good with a wrench. And helping refit the 30-40 fasteners involved (some part of both wheel well liners, about half-way up both fender flares, then the bumper assembly itself).

(...and yes, that's already a first smashed bug on one of the lens. Bugslayer reputation continues...).

Beautiful MINI, ljmattox. We know you have your fair share of bug there in Missouri. Happy motoring.

I replaced my front windshield today. A mysterious crack, starting at the top rubber gasket, just behind the rear view mirror, mysteriously cracked straight down aprx 3 inches, and to the right, another 4 inches. There is no impact mark, no rock chip. It's as though the windshield just fractured. The Mini windshield is bloody expensive!!!

Looks great , post up some more pics Bayswater conversion . The Bayswater had some unique options. You can get the shift boot and e brake handle too as well as some other things that swap over.

Thanks

That seems to be a common issue with the CM and PM. Oddly enough I noticed a crack in the windshield of the dealer Paceman loaner I used for a few hours. No chip on the outside or any other noticeable impact. Attached is a photo with the crack. Only 4,000 miles on it.

Furthermore, there is an active class action lawsuit regarding Mini windshields cracking during normal driving conditions:

That class action is only for R50, R52, and R53 chassis.

2. Changed the oil and cabin filter
3. Set the alignment for some more aggressive camber
4. Installed a new set of COntinental Extreme COntact DW tires

Next week:

1. New Harmon Kardon Tweeters in the doors
2. Installing A CG Lock
3. Replacing the wipers and windshield
4. COnsidering changin the color of the car, more to follow

According to this, that class action lawsuit's application date is long over with. Too bad, I need a new windshield in my R50 because of this. Wish I would have known.
