I took my own of the garage for the winter, and gave her a good cleaning, she still needs a summer buff and polish.

Took the GP2 out for a long drive after this long winter's nap, then put it back before the storm comes this week :(

Traded mine in and got a real big mini =D.

The mini has been fun, but it was time for a change, needed some more back seat space and a little utility. But I still wanted to get something unique (and my wife wanted me to get something reliable), so I settled on an FJ with 76k miles that I got for a steal.

It's quite a change in handling, but it's still a manual, has a white roof and the doors of a clubman

I will miss my climate control, my heated seats and the sun roof, but those are things that can't really break on the FJ, because it doesn't have any of it.

I also still have some mini goodies I've got to get rid of. From the top of my head: a 36 mm oil filter socket, a faded red tow hook and an r53 belt tool with a missing pin. PM me if you're interested or keep an eye on the marketplace, will be letting it go for cheap.

I still have a soft spot for the mini and I'll maybe return in the future, but for now I'm exploring (with) my FJ!

I ground down the large barrel at the end of the dip stick so it was the same diameter as the rest of the plastic part. It no longer pulls oil up into the tube causing the oil level to be difficult to read. Saved $75.00 the Craven would have cost me.

Nothing like a little group of MINIS to have fun with. A bunch of my buddies went on a wine rally out here, but I had to tighten up the route for my run. So I was solo out to Montauk and back.

DSC_0061_zpsba8e1fc8.jpg?t=1395623400

The parade out there had me running in circles to get back. And then I dumped the Go Pro. My error - should have cleaned the glass. I was a mile away from it before I realized it was gone. Suction cup mount - broken. Wi-fi backpack - broken. But the housing, camera and battery (all of which were scattered on the road) all still work!

Washed her and started spraying down nuts and bolts with Liquid Wrench in preparation for installing my coilovers, RSB, and other stuff this week.

Picked up these new NM rims today..

Went down to Neuspeed today to see jerry and pick up the brand new unreleased 18x7.5 Bronze RSe52's ….Sorry they are not mounted yet. Still waiting for the big brakes to arrive... Jerry's customer service is unmatched. He said he will release these wheels in a week or two to the public. So if you're interested give him a call @ 1 805 388 7171… PS he also mentioned a fully catted street legal C.A.R.B. approved down pipe coming out next month...Name: NMBronze_zps97f7ab6b.jpeg

Looks good! Love me some bronze! CARB approved DP....very interesting....I'd get it only to pass smog and then swap it back to my iPE downpipe. But then again....if it makes the same power as my current downpipe I might not need to swap when all is said and done...

Though little camera, it sucks, glad that you were able to recover it.

I will be looking forward to this. It will work fantastic with my new tune by May-June.

Did a little plastidipping with my roommate this past Friday. I'll post a non-taped photo later today for y'all.

Still can't believe I own this fun little coupe.

Unfortunately, roommate in the photos has decided to name it Catbug, after the Bravest Warriors webshow. Just YouTube "best of Catbug". I have no idea why he did this...

Anyway, here she is!

Thanks ra2fanatic, I've always wanted a set of Bronze wheels... Jerry said the DP should be ready by mid April…..

And RobMuntean not sure what tune you're getting, but Jerry said with my Stage 2 NM tune and this new DP he could get me an additional 20hp…. I'm down with that..

Please excuse my ignorance on my ability to post correctly on this site.. I'll get better I hope...

Yeah - lucky that I was on some pretty quiet back roads. The only piece that actually got run over was the wifi backpack and it is toast.

Installed my Megan "EuroSport" coilovers. Weighed them versus stock suspension and the OEM front strut and shock was 6.3kg while the Megan one was 5.2kg. The rears were 4.4kg and 3.7kg respectively. So that's a total weight savings of 5lbs from the front and 3lbs from the rear. Not a ton, but every bit counts IMO.

I haven't really driven on it yet other than a short test drive. Still need to get ride heights dialed in, then let the suspension settle, then adjust, then alignment. I still need to install my control arms, sway bar, and end links, but I'm going to wait until a friend with some better tools and facilities can give me a hand.
