So I was bored today and have a little time on my hands so I play a little with PlastiDip, put the roof rails, painted the calipers and put some custom stripes with a help of a friend of mine here on the island that have a shop near my place, here's the result:

Maybe it's image distortion, but it looks like the hood stripes are completely uneven and go from wide to skinny in a bunch of spots.

Just placed an order from OutMotoring (thanks NAM for the discount code)! Got Megan Euro coilovers, Megan rear control arms, and Alta 19mm rear sway bar. Final mod for a while will be a more sporty driver's seat (thinking about Corbeau RRX) which I'll be ordering in a couple weeks. Then I'm pretty much done with modding for the time being, will just keep some money in a maintenance fund and enjoy driving the car!

Can't wait to install all of this stuff and get an alignment!

New shoes

Got some JCW R113's (18") on Toyo Proxes 4's just for a change. Got tired of the 16" S-Winders on run-flats.

(crappy pic and the MINI is dirty)

I'd also recommend Detroit Tuned rear sway bar endlinks, they are only for $155 I believe.

Thank you for the recommendation. What benefit will the sway bar endlinks have?

I am curious about this too.....especially if this is also the case for R56 Justas with sport suspension.

I understand the stiffer endlinks will cause a better/quicker transition from the road force to the swaybar but what I'm confused about is what exactly the adjustability does. Can it affectively make the sway bar stiffer by pre-loading it? Or is there some other use?

Installed my Blue Meanie window stickers and went for a drive. First day of spring, beautiful sunny 70 degrees and saw 0 MINI's except mine. What's up with that?

Thanks & yes all on a day ...just taking advantage of the time, wake up at 6am and start with the PlastiDip, went to pick up the roof rails at 9:30am (on my wife's X1) & install them like at 11am (took me like 15 minutes), then I was at my friend shop around 1pm and was all set like around 3:30pm...yes a day it was more than enough, I love cars and the MINI is one of my favorites so far, I'm just enjoying it...and besides we are moving to Georgia pretty soon (my wife is already there) and the cars will be on their way at the beggining of April, so I just want to make them nice before they arrive cause I'm not going to have the same amount of time on my hands there since we are relocating for work...

I'm not the absolute authority on this but I have the Alta 19mm RSB and bought it as a package with Alta endlinks and the H&R springs. The Alta endlinks are far sturdier than OEM. I can't recall if the OEM endlinks are adjustable but the Alta's are - might be necessary if you end up changing your setting on the RSB since there are 3 settings.

The smaller rectangular box is a Tailgate Grip Handle, I conveniently broke the License Plate Bulb Lens trying to replace a burnt out bulb!!

It really has nothing to do with being sturdy. Even the stock end links will work with any bar.

It's about trigonometry. You want to keep the forces acting on the bar at 90 degrees. The endlinks are always at a fixed position where they bolt to the rear hub. The more you lower the car, the more angle you create between the forces and bar, the less effective the bar is.

So, as you lower the car, you adjust the length of the endlink to keep the angles as close to 90 degrees as possible. A simple example that is in no way a real measurment...: Sine (90) =1, and Sine (70)= 0.93, so if you have a 20 degree angle, you lose about 7% of the effective force.

(I knew there was a reason I got an engineering degree..)

Stock endlinks suck. I had mine replaced twice and I'm not even lowered yet haha.
